Micro Art Journal

Hello. For a couple of years now I have been joining in 'Tiny TN Tuesday' (TN-travellers notebook). Clare, the owner of Paper, Pen and Plan hosts this every Tuesday over in the Facebook group!

I love this little micro so much, I am on volume 2 and will soon need a volume 3! I have never really shared on my blog as it's a facebook thing but I thought the time had come. It's amazing what you can do on tiny pages, sometimes it's just a sticker or two, but sometimes I go all out mixed media.

The pages above are today's efforts, it's definately a snow day here! The page below is a collage, and is one of my favourite pages.

I have filmed a three minute flip through and you can see that here on my channel or click below. If you want to join in you can grab a micro journal here. Don't forget to join the PP&P facebook group to share your tiny pages!

You Are Pretty Much The Best Ever

Hello, I have a card to share today, I have also filmed a step by step on how to make it! You can pop over to my channel here or click on the video below.

The stamp is 'sweet surrender' by Penny Black and the sentiment is from a Technique Tuesday set called 'I Like You'. Loads more info' in the video, have a nosey, and if you subscribe you won't miss any future videos!

I am entering my card into the following challenges -

Alice Postcard Project - parts 1 and 2

Hello, I have started a new ongoing project. I am altering a box of Alice in Wonderland postcards!
I also have plans to share my process with you and you can watch my first video here -

I will be collaging, stamping, inking, adding texture and learning as I go along. I bought an inexpensive Alice book and I am clipping the words from that. For these first two postcards I have stuck with the Alice theme but as time goes on it may just be general messiness!

So that's the first two 'in the bag'. I am trying to grow my You Tube subscribers and I would love if you joined me and subbed to my channel, and let me know in the comments if you like this sort of 'longer, talkie' sort of video. Anyway, shameless plug over, stay safe, stay home, happy crafting!

February Sweet Treat Box

Hello. It's Thursday so that means it's time to share my project for Paper, Pen and Plan. Well, my February box popped through the letter box yesterday. Wow! Before I tell you about my project, let me share what is in my box.

Gorgeous pompom trim, ribbon, twine, length of fabric, wooden frame, ink pad, doily and gems!

A transfer foil set and a handy bullet journal stencil.

Patterned papers, sticker sheets and diecut shapes and tags. Like I said, wow!

So, I decided to make something for my planner. It's a triple folder with pockets. The front (top pic') has a handy calendar that pulls out from a pocket.

Open it up and it has my 'to do' lists. Open it further and it has pull out planner pages.

I decorated using the trim, ribbon and stickers from the box. You can grab yourself a box here.

Arteza Art Journal - part 3

Hello. Another mixed media scene in my Arteza Journal. This time the background is patterned tissue paper, texture paste through a brick wall stencil and watercolour paints.

The main focal point images are from the Lady Vagabond paper pad by Stamperia. I have only fairly recently discovered Stamperia, where have I been?

Nature Journal - part 15

Hello. I have another entry in my nature journal to share. This one records a snowy walk in the park next to where we live. I have kept the colours very pale and muted to hopefully reflect the white of the snow!

The pictures were printed from my phone using my PeriPage mini printer. This little printer needs no ink, it prints on a roll of receipt paper. Not perfect pics but good enough to record in a journal. And, of course, I still have the originals in my phone!

The background is patterned paper and the 'January bear' is a snippet from a magazine. I stamped the words and date. I also stamped the green branches using my ABStudio Twig rubber stamp, it's available here (quote LIZ10 for 10% off).

Parts 1-14 of my nature journal are here -

Archer & Olive Journal - part 1

Hello, I bought two Archer&Olive journals over a year ago now, this black one with kraft paper and a gorgeous yellow one with white paper. I have now been stroking them long enough and have now taken the plunge with the black one! I decided that I didn't want to limit this journal to a certain subject and it would just be a 'do anything in it' journal. So here are a couple of pages.

The page above is a memory I have about my late Dad's Brownie camera. He loved his Brownie and I think he quite fancied himself as a bit of a photographer! And here is that very camera, on display on my bookcase. I still also have its brown canvas shoulder bag safely stored away.

The pages below are just a nice easy play with some nature bits. I probably should have done these pages in my nature journal but I wanted to see how they would turn out on the kraft paper.

I am so happy to have started in this journal and I'm pretty pleased with how
my pages have turned out so far.

Prima Mixed Media Book - part 4

Hello. I have two pages to share in my Prima Mixed Media Book. The two pages could not be more different but I guess that's the fun of mixed media! The page above takes Lennon/McCartney lyrics as inspiration. All the ephemera has been fussy cut from The Crafters Bundle 12x12 paper set. I love this set, you get a full page of butterflies, florals, leaves, postcards, steampunk, frames and old photos.

You can buy the goodies here, and quote LIZ10 for 10% off -

I shared the page below on social media but for some reason didn't do a blog post to share here. It features the donkey and leaves from the All Ears stamp set by Tracey Hey. The background is a napkin and some stencilled texture paste.

Team Teddy!

Hello. I have a card to share today. The stamp is a Penny Black wood mounted stamp called Team Teddy. You won't be surprised that I used my watercolour pencils to colour, as that's what I do with all my Penny Blacks!

The flowers on the bottom of the card base have been punched using an EK border punch, there is no other name on the punch (I've had it for many years) so I'm not sure if it would still be available.

And I'm so chuffed, I won the challenge prize over at Cute Card Thursday and top five at Allsorts. Maybe I should put on a lottery ticket this week!

I am entering my card into these challenges -

Want to see what I bought? I filmed a quick haul video - goodies from The Mad Scrapper, Sherbet Lane and a sneak peek at my magazine feature (my card made the front page).

Arteza Art Journal - part 2

Hello. I've been having another play in my small Arteza art journal. The background layers are tissue paper, washi tape, texture paste through a stencil, clear and white gesso and watercolour paints! Whew, just keep adding stuff till it looks ok seems to be my motto!

The two main images are Wonky Tonk Girls stamps by Tracy Easson Illustrations. I stamped onto watercolour card, coloured and then fussy cut before adding them to the page. A couple of butterflies and flowers from Eucalyptus Dreams by 49&Market for a finishing touch.

Arteza Art Journal - part 1 is here.

Love Keepsake Gift

Hello. I've been busy making this project with goodies from my January Sweet Treat Box

It's a little keepsake booklet/journal. Super easy as the gorgeous stash in the box co-ordinates so perfectly. You can see everything I got in my unboxing video here.

I have left the back of each page free to add some photographs and journaling.

And by using book rings I can add or switch around pages as I go along.

I'm pretty pleased with how it has turned out!

Still Cozy.....

Hello. Today I am sharing the card I made for my hubby on our wedding anniversary. I used my new stamp set 'Lots of Love' by Colorado Craft Company (super quick delivery once again from Seven Hills Crafts).

I've kept the card quite clean and simple. Just a diecut heart on a couple of matching layers. Then the main image was watercoloured, fussy cut then popped on with foam squares. I added a twine bow and job done.
