November Monthly Planner Pages

Hello. Last month I shared my October monthly planner pages and told you a little bit about how I use the monthly pages (if you missed it the blog post is here). So continuing on from that here are my November pages. I have taken a totally different approach this month and have left lots of space in the boxes for notes - November is going to be a busy month! That's what I love about these blank pages by Waffle Flower, you can customise and decorate as much or as little as you want to suit your needs in any particular month.

Because I wanted to leave the boxes blank I simply decorated along the bottom of the pages. I also added some extra 'list' space on the side. The stamps I have used this month just hint at Christmas,  that's because I like to go all out Christmas on my December pages!

Here are links to the stamp sets I used -

Oh Joy

Hello, it's Tuesday so time for me to share my Seven Hills Crafts project. This time I have made a super cute card using Festive Friends by My Favorite Things (the matching dies are here). I love the fact that the snowmen in this set are really quick and easy to colour just their hat, scarf, mitts and boots - job done. I have also kept the colour pallette simple, just an eye-catching red and white.

The Oh Joy die by Mama Elephant comes with it's own shaped background but I have used the words on their own. Next time I think I will try it with the background - so many possibilities!

The swirls on the background have been made using Swirl Dies by Concord&9th. I like to think it's the trails in the snow left by the snowmen during their snowball fight!

Thanks for stopping by, happy crafting!

Oh So Jolly

Hello. Another quick make for the Christmas pile! This time featuring 'The Walrus, The Polar Bear and The Penguin' by Stamping Bella. I stamped, watercoloured and fussy cut the image and attached to the card using foam pads. The sentiment is from the 'Oh So Jolly' set by Sugar Pea Designs.

Well, it has at last stopped raining and it's a lovely blue sky, but very cold, day. A good day to take the dog and my camera for a walk and grab some Autumn pictures for my journal.

Happy Birthday Snail Mail

Hello, it's Tuesday so time for me to share my Seven Hills Crafts project.

Have you ever thought of decorating your envelopes? We put so much effort into making our cards why send them in a plain envelope! Wouldn't this just make someone smile before they even opened it? It doesn't take long to do and these stamp sets from Flora and Fauna make it easy. I used Happy Bird Day, Aviary Love and Mini Snail Mail.

For the card I stamped the Happy Birthday sign and flowers inside the aperture. Then I stamped coloured and cut out the two cute birds (the matching die set is here). I stamped a branch and popped the birds on using foam pads.

I stamped straight onto the envelope and coloured with water based markers, this means the colour will not bleed through to the other side. The name and address has been stamped using the Birdie Brown Alphabet and Numbers set.

On the back of the envelope I did some repeat stamping.

Wouldn't you just love an envelope like this to pop through your letterbox? I know I would!

111 Places - part 10

Hello, I have two more entries in my '111 Places' journal to share today.
This journal records my visits to places listed in the
'111 Places In Glasgow You Shouldn't Miss' book.
The one above, number 24 in the book, is the Cathedral Lamp Posts. These are very ornate featuring the Glasgow Coat of Arms - the fish, the tree, the bird and the bell.

And number 95, St Nicholas Garden. We didn't linger too long as it was pouring with rain and the carved heads are quite creepy!

My previous blog posts all about this project are here -

Merry and Bright

Hello, it's Tuesday and I'm sharing my weekly make for Seven Hills Crafts. So, the Christmas box has been moved to the front of the crafty cupboard and I've made a start! My card features two stamp sets both by Wplus9. The sentiment panel and flowers are from the Be Merry set and the reindeers are from the Santa's Reindeer set. I love the mix of modern fonts and the quirky way the reindeers have been drawn.

I have the matching dies for both of these stamp sets (you can find them here - Be Merry and Santa's Reindeer)so this card was super easy to make, just some quick colouring with my markers and job done. I didn't add any finishing touches or embellishments as I wanted to keep the look clean, modern and fresh, I hope I pulled it off!

Thanks for stopping by today, happy crafting!

October Sweet Treat Box 'Into the Woods'

Hello, at the beginning of each month my Sweet Treat Box from Paper, Pen and Plan pops through my letter box. Every month I film an unboxing and every month as I open all the gorgeously wrapped packs inside the box I can't stop grinning to myself at the super cuteness of it all! And, of course, every month I say this is my favourite box so far! The picture above is just a few highlights and I can't wait to get creative!

My unboxing video is here and you can find out all about getting your own box here.

Coffee Journal - part 3

Hello. I have three, yes three, new entries in my coffee journal, well, I was on a weeks annual leave from work so these are really holiday coffees, that's my excuse! The first is The Sugar Boat in Helensburgh (which has actually just won an award). We have been here a few times so have tried the breakfast and the cake. And, as hubby says in his review, it's super dog friendly.

The second entry is Khotel, Great Western Road in the west end of Glasgow. It's on a corner spot so plenty seats outside. Inside the walls are filled with old (or faux) paraphernalia of all sorts, quite a talking point! Inside some of the tables are dog friendly (not the ones beside the counter).

And lastly, Seb and Mili which is in Finnieston. I enjoyed my ham and cheese croissant but hubby was disapointed with the pancakes. It's super dog friendly but would be a tight squeeze if there was more than one or two other customers!

Coffee Journal - part 1 is here.
Coffee Journal - part 2 is here.

October Monthly Planner Pages

Hello. Today I'm sharing my regular make for Seven Hills Crafts. Paper planners may seem old fashioned in this digital age but they are a great way to stay organised with space for to do lists, notes and ideas as well as all those important dates and appointments.

Here are my planner top tips -
  • Have a regular daily planning session, I do five or ten minutes every evening.
  • Have a weekly planning session, I usually do this on a Sunday for the week ahead. I note up all the routine tasks that don't change from week to week.
  • Use the monthly section, this is what I am sharing today. It's a brief overview of the whole month.
  • Finally, and most importantly, keep your planner handy! It will not fulfil it's purpose if it's tidied away on a shelf.

There is also a creative crossover between planning and crafting. I use stamps, stickers and washi tape to have fun decorating the pages of my planner. The stamp sets I have used on my October monthly section are as follows -

The blank refill monthly pages are by Waffle Flower. These are perfect for creative planning as the paper is thick and smooth. You can find them in the shop here. And as a finishing touch I always add Washi to the edges of the pages. I have used the gingham from the Spring Farmhouse set which you can find here.

Thanks for stopping by today, happy crafting (and happy planning)!
