The lovely folk at Craft Stash sent me some dies to try out and here is what I came up with using the Nouveau Butterfly die. The die cut circle and butterfly have been 'smooched' all over with watercolours and then 'spattered' (both technical terms!). The sentiment is by My Favourite Things.

I will be sharing a few more cards this week using my Craft Stash dies and there are a couple more videos too!

Bird with a french fry!

Hello. Don't you just love it when a stamp set comes with a great sentiment? This set is by Wplus9 and is called Happy Birds. I created a watercoloured background and then decided to colour everything else the same two colours as the background. I have just noticed that this means the bird is eating a blue chip! Oh well, artistic licence I guess.

Hello. And another Unity creation. I'm not so sure about this one! I made it for the Unity facebook challenge - use red and kraft. It certainly fits the bill for that. I think maybe it's the different versions of kraft that I've used that's putting me off it! And I'm not sure about that enamel heart in the middle either!

Let the beauty

Hello. Where do the days go? Time passes so quickly. I haven't blogged since last Tuesday and it seems like just yesterday! Anyhoo, here I am now and I have a simple one layer card to share.

The stamps are by Unity and are from the Kit of the Month. I am really enjoying these Unity stamps and it's great that as a subscriber to the kit a whole selection of stamps pop through the letter box every month. Can't wait for my March kit to arrive. And maybe that is why time is passing - I am wishing the days away!

Hello. My watercolour pencils are still out on my desk! This time to colour a little Gorjuss stamp. I bought a few of these stamps a couple of months ago, they were a bit of a bargain at The Range. This one is number 8 - I Love You Little Rabbit.

So after a couple of bright, but very cold days, we are back to howling wind and driving rain - lovely! Roll on spring.

Hello. 'Tis the season of hearts and flowers! This isn't the card I will be giving to Mr BforB as it was lying on my desk when he came in to tell me tea was ready (I know - how lucky am I - he cooks).

The little Penny Black hedgie 'sweet surrender' was coloured with watercolour pencils. And have a wee look here. A two minute video of my colouring!

Hello. You may recognise this card. I shared it here a little while back. Well now it has star (see what I did there) billing on You Tube! Yep, my first video for Craft Stash is now available here. Hopefully the first of many quick little tutorials. All comments, good, bad or indifferent are welcome - I think I still have a lot to learn when it comes to videos!! Oh, and any ideas for future videos are welcome too!

     

Grow Love

Hello. And another stamp fron Unity! This one is called 'Grow Love'. The papers are 'Viola' by Memory Box. The tree is a die but, in my quest to super organise my dies, I no longer have the packaging and have no idea of the makers name. The stamp has been coloured with watercolour pencils and fussy cut.

I am entering the challenge over at Creative Inspirations - hugs & kisses.

Hello. Can you tell I'm loving my Unity stamps? This one is from the January Kit (and my February kit will soon be winging it's way to me - yay). Once again I watercoloured the image. The papers are 'Beach House' by Craft Sensations.

And on a completely different note, I know I promised a video. Well, it's been a little delayed, but will be here soon!

Your wings exist

Hello. Sometimes a card comes together pretty easily and other times I have nearly every piece of patterned paper, stamp and embellishment out looking for the perfect match. Well, this was one of those easy times! And in 'card world' I don't even think it matters that the dandelion clocks are way out of proportion!

The stamp is 'your wings exist' from Unity. And the background is a stencil (sorry, no makers name and the packaging is long gone).

Magazine News

Hello. Thought I would let you all know about two fabby magazines that have just recently hit the shelves! They are a great crafty read choc full of gorgeous inspiration. Both have cool free gifts too. With Creative Stamping you get a huge 34 piece stamp set and Simply Cards and Papercraft has a free embossing folder and stamp set. 

Of course, I might be a wee bit biased. I have cards in both mags.
