For you

Hello. A little bit of a change from my usual bright colours today. I bought the little black vase as a prop and then had to make a monochrome card to match it! The flowers are from the
'Moderne Flowers' stamp set by Colourific and I also stamped the envelope. The feather pen was in one of my Sweet Treat boxes, I knew it would be a prop one day!

And, I have news. I have been asked to join the Colourific design team. There's exciting times ahead for this new stamp company and I am excited to be part of it.

Have you entered my magazine box set giveaway? All the details are here.

Pocket Journal Page

Hello. I had a few bits and bobs left over from my April Sweet Treat box from Paper, Pen and Plan that I wanted to use up. Plus, I wanted to have a play with the swirly stencil (a stencil is in the box every month).

So I got out my pocket sized journal, some inks and some texture paste. I cut out the words from the journalling cards and I cut the doily and stickers in half to make them go further! I had enough bits to make a tag too!

While you are here don't forget to enter my magazine box set giveaway. Details are here.

111 Places - part 4

Hello. I've been out and about again, ticking off another place in my '111 Places in Glasgow That You Shouldn't Miss' project.  If you haven't a clue what I'm on about part 1 is here and part 2 is here and part 3 is here!

This time I was at number 106 in the book. The University Cafe in Byres Road. It's an old style cafe that has changed little since 1918. Hot Peas are still on the menu!

The other insert in this travellers notebook is my Nature Journal.
Love how they are both getting a little chunky!

smile

Hello. Do we really know what our pets get up to when they are alone? I like to think that as well as a very long snooze they have fun, maybe even taking selfies like the dogs and cats on these cards!

The stamps are from the Picture Perfect set by My Favourite Things and the die cuts are by Mama Elephant. I coloured using my Inktense watercolour pencils.

Hobonichi - April Update

Hello. It's time for the monthly update on my Hobonichi Techo. If you are new to my Hobo' updates my March update is hereFebruary update is here and the January update is here (January includes a bit of background info').

I have filmed a quick flip through of January to March, have a peek here.

The page above is all about what turned out to be D-day! We had lunch at the Dandelion Cafe, and saw Dippy, Dali and Da Vinci at Kelvingrove. If you get a chance to see any of the drawings you should go, they are amazing.

We treated ourselves to an overnight stay in Dunkeld and spent the next day in Aberfeldy. If you are in the area I can highly recommend the Watermill for lunch/coffee/cake!

Sometimes I just do a bit of stamping, washi and stickers.
Some days there's just not much happening!

Nearly half way through April already, I have kept my start page clean and simple.
And here is where she lives, alongside her mate from last year!

oh happy day

Hello. Just like a dog is not just for Christmas the Sweet Treat Box from Paper, Pen and Plan is not just for planners! I used a journal card, doily, twine and buttons all from this months box. I did add a little stamped mouse, but that's 'cos stamping and colouring is my favourite thing to do and I couldn't stop myself! The stamp is from the 'garden mice' set by Newton's Nook.

Rightyho, I have a heap of memory keeping to do as we were away for a few days last week in the gorgeously relaxing Dunkeld House Hotel in Perthshire, gin cocktails were involved!! I also want to do pages in my nature journal and 111 places in Glasgow journal. Busy afternoon ahead!

just a note...

Hello. In the last twenty four hours we have had hail, snow, rain and sunshine. Just the other day I thought it was spring for sure! Anyway, cardmaking is well and truly in spring mode regardless of the weather.

My card features 'you are the best' stamp by Penny Black. I used my Versafine ink pad to stamp and my Inktense pencils to colour. The daisies have been die cut from watercolour card and I also coloured them using my pencils.

I am entering my card into the Cute Card Thursday Challenge....Feminine.
