Mixed Media Tags

Hello. I've been having a bit of a mixed media play. Tags are always a good option to try out some new stash on a small scale! On the backgrounds of both tags I used Speckled Egg Distress Spray Stain and Tea Dye Distress Marker. I think these two colours go together well for a sort of vintage look.

The butterfly on the girl tag was printed on acetate, coloured and fussy cut. I also added some gold foil to the girl tag. The butterfly tag has muslin and flowers from this month's Sweet Treat Box. I added some Speckled Egg and Tea Dye to them - I love the way they have turned out!

The stash I have mentioned is available from Paper, Pen and Plan over on Etsy

Dotty About You

Hello. I have a very quick and easy card card to share today. And although quick and easy, I think it has the super cute, bright and fresh look that I love. I used two stamp sets, both by Tracey Hey at Alpaca Pals. The background is from the Beautiful Chaos set and the cute creatures are from the Domino set.

You get a full set of dot stamps so that you can make the domino's any combination of numbers. How cool is that? I chose a four and a one and a four and a two for no particular reason but you could use the dots to signify a special birthday or anniversary.

Stay safe and well.

Nature Journal - part 14

Hello. I have another entry in my Nature Journal to share. This time it's a vintage collage page filled with gorgeous items from Petals and Papier. I discovered this Etsy shop whilst browsing through Instagram. I ordered the Vintage Ephemera Pack on Tuesday and it popped through the letter box yesterday! Super fast delivery. The contents of the box are exactly what I wanted and I can't wait to use it all in various journals and planners.

Here are a just a few pics to give you a flavour of what was in the pack but if you are curious and want to see the full pack I filmed an unboxing here

You will see from the video how beautifully it was packaged, love all the little details and personal touches.

Pages and pages of vintage maps, illustrations, handmade and Japanese papers.

And a selection of tags, collectable cards, stamps, tickets and more.

Here's a closer look at my page....

Happiest of Birthdays/Magazine Feature

Hello, I'm back from my holiday! We spent a very relaxing, chilled week in Dumfries and Galloway. A dog friendly cottage called The Wee Dug Hoose. I will share more about it once my pics are printed and and our adventures are journaled!

It's world cardmaking day, so to mark the occasion I have made a card. The cat stamp is from a Penny Black set called Hello Friend and the sentiment is from the Hand Drawn Happiness set by Lil' Inker Designs.

The latest issue of Papercraft Essentials has hit the shops, and I'm so chuffed one of my cards from my feature is taking centre stage on the front cover, always a thrill. The mag' is full of gorgeous inspiration and the cover gift is an RSPB luxury cardmaking kit.

My feature is all about using the kit to make quick makes.....
