nature journal - part 4

Hello. My new stencil, paint and daubers arrived from Paper, Pen and Plan. The paint colour matches the papers and stickers from the Vintage Botanical range perfectly, so couldn't wait to have a play. I decided to mark the arrival of June in my nature journal. I just smooshed some paint in the corners before stencilling my 'Junes'. A few stickers and job done!

mirror mirror

Hello. Today I'm sharing my regular make for Colourific. This time a card featuring two stamp sets - Mirror Mirror and Alphabets & Numbers.

I stamped the frame, fussy cut and popped onto the card using foam pads. The 'mirror' has been diecut from glitter card to add a bit of bling! To add interest to the words I stamped and cut out each letter individually. I added flowers, butterflies and pearls as a finishing touch.

Magazine Articles

Hello, I've been on holiday! We were in a very beautiful, peaceful cottage in Warkworth down in Northumberland. Fairly lucky with the weather so managed trips to Seahouses (for the obligitory fish supper), Bamburgh, Amble, Rothbury and Morpeth. Look out for some memory keeping pages soon!

While I catch up I thought I would share my two latest magazine articles. I have a set of cards using Wallace & Gromit in Papercraft Essentials.....

And I have a set of aperture cards in the Joanna Sheen Cardmaking Collection....

Both are on the shelves now!

The sun will rise...

Hello. It's Tuesday so I'm here to share my regular make for Colourific Stamps. This week I got out my art journal and had a play with two of the stamp sets - Grunge Icons and Sun Will Rise.

The sunrays in the background are a stencil (sorry no makers name known) and I used Adirondack ink 'peach bellini', mmmm, that sounds nice, I could go one of them!!

I then used various stamps from Colourific and coloured with my Distress Marker Pens.

See the full range of Colourific Stamps here. Oh, and there's an inspiration blog too, I'd love if you could pop over and give a wee follow! You can find it here.

Memory Keeping 2019 - part 1

Hello. Today I'm sharing my first entry in my 2019 Sn@p album.
This is where I document our holidays (I am still working my way through my 'old holidays', see the blog post here all about that!). This is just a couple of pages to record an overnight stay we had in the Dunkeld House Hotel back in March.

In this month's Sweet Treat Box from Paper, Pen and Plan I got some cool transparent acetate cards. I popped one on top of the hotel feedback card (top pic') and the other is in a pocket on it's own with a couple of stickers.

I have being using the Sn@p albums since 2016. My 2019 teal album has not yet been decorated but I have my eye on the new Simple Stories 'Heart' collection which will match perfectly.

Wedding Day

Hello. Today I'm sharing my first card for Colourific Stamps.

My card features stamps from the 'Vintage Car' set. I stamped the car, flowers and leaves onto watercolour card using my Versafine ink pad. I then coloured with Inktense pencils blending with a paintbrush and a little water. I then fussy cut all the images and popped them onto the card blank using foam pads.

Included in the set is a 'registration number' to change up the card to Happy Birthday!

nature journal - part 3

Hello. We have been enjoying the sunshine today and decided to go for a drive round Loch Lomondside. It's only about forty five minutes from our house so we go quite a lot. Our favourite spot is the Coach House for coffee and cake!

I've done another couple of pages in my nature journal. A watercolour of some flowers and while I was at the park the other week I picked up a few leaves. I tried pressing them between two books, it's many years since I did that! I'm not sure if it worked but I have stuck them in my journal anyway!

pocket travellers notebook

Hello. Today I want to share what I did with some of the stash from this month's Sweet Treat Box from Paper, Pen and Plan. Some of the journal cards in the box had inspirational sayings on them so I made a little folder using the patterned paper so I could attach the journal cards and always know I was awesome!!

I made a shaker pocket with the tiny sequins for the inside pocket and added ephemera and acrylic dots, all were in the box.

This is the inside, everything here was in the box including the lace and pompom trim. I love the felt bow and bead bookmark.

This is the back, where I added some washi.  How gorgeous is that pen? It was in the box too!

morty bottoms

Hello. I hope everyone is enjoying their Bank Holiday Monday. I know I am, nearly a whole day in the crafty room, just popping out in the morning for some supplies.

And, I have a new stamp set to play with, meet Morty Bottoms from the super talented Tracy Easson.
The stamp set arrived beautifully packaged with all these little extra treats.

There are two more sets in the Star Gazers collection - Matilda and Betsy. I don't think it'll be long until I buy the full set!

111 Places - part 5

Hello. And number 72 - The Necropolis has now been ticked off my 111 places project.

This is the final resting place of the many merchants, industrialists, scientists and artists who made Glasgow great. One monument stood out for me, that of William Miller, as that was my Dad's name. The William Miller of the monument wrote the nursery rhyme Wee Willie Winkie!

My previous blog posts about this project are here -

sending happy thoughts

Hello. A quick and easy card to share today. Well, I say quick and easy but the fussy cutting round the leaves was a bit tricker than usual 'cos I decided to cut round the inside of the image as well as the outside! I think it was worth it though.

The stamp is from the Weekend Doodles set by Altenew. I coloured the leaves with a Zig Real Brush pen and the patterned paper is from a 6x6 pad by Amy Tangerine called Oh Happy Life.

May Sweet Treat Box

Hello, the May Sweet Treat Box is called 'My Happy Place' and it's filled to the brim with happy!
The colour scheme this month is lemon, pink and soft green, gorgeous. Along with the usual co-ordinating papers, washi, trim, pen etc there's this super cute bow paper clip, I love it! And, this month, something really different, acetate journaling cards, can't wait to have a play with them.

As usual I have filmed an unboxing, you will see a proper close up of everything in the box. You can find it here on my You Tube channel.

You can buy a one off box or subscribe monthly, all the info' you need is here over at
