April Sweet Treat Box

Hello. The April Sweet Treat Box is called 'Choose You' and is definately my favourite box so far! The colour scheme is a soft teal and lemon/gold, totally gorgeous. Look at that beautiful pen, those super cute paper clips, the washi, the buttons - I have plans for it all!

As usual I have filmed an unboxing, you will see a proper close up of everything in the box. You can find it here on my You Tube channel.

You can buy a one off box or subscribe monthly, all the info' you need is here over at

make one person happy

Hello. I'm back today to share a simple page in my passport size journal. Just a quick wash of colour across the page then stamped the sketchy flowers around the edges. I coloured the flowers with my Zig brush pens, added some random dots and stamped the words in the centre.

The sketchy flowers are from Colourific and the set is called Moderne Flowers. Colourific are having a Design Team Call and all the info' is here. The stamps are great to work with and there are exciting times ahead for this new business. Why not give it a go and apply (I might see you there!).

just a little note...

Hello. My card today features two new stamp sets by Newton's Nook. The flowery square is from the 'Floral Fringe' set and the mouse and sentiment is from 'Garden Mice'. I coloured with my Zig Real Brush markers.

I am entering two challenges...

Allsorts...favourite stamp or die (so hard to choose but I guess, because hardly a card gets made without using them, it has to be my square dies!)
Cute Card Thursday...spring fever.

Hobonichi - march update

Hello. It's time for the monthly update on my Hobonichi Techo. If you are new to my Hobo' updates my February update is here and the January update is here (January includes a bit of background info').

On these recent pages there's stamping, journaling, stickers, washi and a bit of watercolouring. I love to throw everything at this little book! The background stamp was free with a magazine and the stickers and washi are from Little Rainbow Moon.

I love how it's starting to get chunky....

hello friend

Hello. I'm back having a play with my Penny Black stamps, this one is called 'garden treats'. I coloured the stamped image using my Inktense pencils. The background tree is a stencil, the bees are from the MFT set 'meant to bee' and the sentiment is from the Technique Tuesday set 'I like you'.

And how cute is my little glass hare? It was a gift from my bestie and I'm sure will be used many times in my 'staging'!

nature journal - part 1

Hello. When Clare over in the Paper, Pen and Plan facebook group suggested the lovely idea of keeping a nature journal I immediately knew I could use one of my Travellers Notebook inserts.
I spruced up the front cover using patterned paper, stickers and washi tape.

I gave the inside cover the same treatment! Then on the first page I used alpha stickers for the four seasons. I am hopeful of making a few entries for each season.

Here are my first two entries - geese and blossoms! I just printed the pics onto plain old copy paper, I don't want the pages to end up too thick. I then raided my stash for stickers that would match.

Due to the recent horrible weather I haven't been out and about to get any more pics so for the pages below I had fun putting together a collage. A great way to use up all those snippets!

life is better with friends

Hello. How cool are these flower stamps? I love the modern sketchy feel. They are from a new stamp company called Colourific. The set is called Moderne Flowers and is available here. I stamped the flowers onto watercolour card using Versafine and coloured with my Zig Real Brush markers. The central sentiment and border stamps are from the StampPJ03 set by Studio Light.

Well, so much for Spring arriving, it was snowing here this morning!

Colonel Mustard

Hello. Meet Colonel Mustard, my gorgeous new pocket size travellers notebook. I have had my eye on this little suede number for a while so when I saw it on sale and before you could say 'do you not think you have enough planners/journals/notebooks' it was in my basket!

I made a little bit of nonsense to decorate the front. Just some felt die cut daisies and some leaves from gold cardstock. My pink charms work perfectly hanging from the elastic on the spine.

Inside I have three notebooks and a dashboard/folder. I have used paper, stickers, a packet of bits & pieces and washi tape all from the Spring Farmhouse collection by Simple Stories. The collection is available over at Paper, Pen and Plan.

Inside the folder at the front of the notebook is a tiny die cut envelope. That's where I'm keeping some fancy paperclips!

The first notebook is a diary. The notebook covers were very plain so I prettied them up by covering with Spring Farmhouse patterned paper. I stuck a handy tear off calendar on the front.

The second notebook is a to do list. Not much more I can say about that!

And the third notebook is big ideas, fingers crossed I might have some ideas to write down!

I added some pompom trim and die cut scalloped edges to the back of the notebooks as a girly finishing touch. As this is pocket size it's going to be my EDC, in planner world that means 'every day carry' (I just recently found that out).

I have had great fun putting this together, now, anybody got any big ideas I could write down?

as wonderful as you are

Hello. I'm now making cards to match my staging! It really should be the other way round but I saw this little sheep in TKMaxx and knew I had the perfect stamp to match. Finding and buying props is now a new hobby!

The stamp is 'Wooly Dames' (brilliant name) by Penny Black. I used my Zig Real Brush markers to colour. The 'knitted' background stamp is Knit Patterns by Wplus9 and the sentiment is from a Neat&Tangled set called Typed Sentiments.

somebunny....

Hello. Well so much for spring being on the doorstep, it's driving wind and rain today! Anyway, making this sunny spring card has brightened up things a little. The stamp set is 'Somebunny' by My Favourite Things.

I am entering the Allsorts challenge...favourite season. My favourite has to be spring, which with it brings Easter - daffodils and chocolate!

memory keeping - part 1

Hello. Yesterday I mentioned that I have started my long term project of documenting my older photographs. I'm sure everyone must have packets like this which have mainly pictures from your holidays but also pics of the dog, garden, grannie etc - 'to use up the spool'. So my plan is to use the Simple Stories Sn@p binders and inserts. These have worked well for me in recent years.

I have started with two holidays we had in 1995. One was a cottage holiday in the Cotswolds and the other a long weekend on the Island of Arran. I am not going to use all the pictures I have, simply pick the best ones and do two or three pages for each holiday. That way it doesn't feel overwhelming and like a chore. I aim to do maybe two or three sets of pictures every month.

I still have a large box of really old black and white pictures which have been passed down to me. And I was going to make a start on sorting them out but decided to do these more recent ones instead. Really, I suppose, because I haven't yet decided for sure what to do with the old ones. My problem is, I don't know who some of the people are, but it doesn't seem right to just throw them out. I think I need to think about it a while longer.
