Simple Stories - Snap album

Hello. I have something totally different to share today. I'm not a scrapbooker but when I saw this way of scrapbooking (a good while ago now - it's taken me a bit to get started) I thought 'that looks easier'!

It's a Simple Stories ring binder and you just either slot stuff into the openings in the clear plastic pages or there's patterned paper pages that you just stick pics etc onto.

I have decided to use my album for 'days out'.
The first day in the album is from way back in April 2013 - a visit to Pollock House.

Then I have jumped to May 2014 - a visit to The Kelpies, near Falkirk.

I'm sure there were days out between these but the great thing about these albums is that when I find the pics I can slot them in and it will be in the right order!

And now that I am thinking about it the next pages I do will not be back to back. A two page day out should really be on opposing pages. Oh well - I'm just a beginner!

This little card was made using products from the 'Back to Basics' range by Trimcraft. I just love that little birdcage stamp.

So, will anyone be popping by to say hi on Sunday?

Art Therapy

Hello. As I don't have enough projects on the go I bought this new mag to try! It's just 99p and you get 6 full patterned pages and a few smaller extra projects to colour. I have made a wee start. Didn't use the pencils that came with it - not when I could use my beloved Prismacolours. Has anyone else treated themselves?

Boyd's new blanket!

Hello. Aren't fellow crafters and bloggers the kindest most generous people? Look what arrived in the post for Boyd. An exceptionally smart and cosy crocheted blanket from my blogging buddy Lee. Read all about Lee's crafty adventures in Cornwall here.

For me, I suppose like most of us, this little hobby started off with a shoe box of bits and bobs at the dining room table. I made a few cards, bought a Crafts Beautiful magazine and discovered they ran an online forum. Well, I plucked up courage and started sharing pictures of my cards. Then I noticed that some of the ladies had 'blogs'. Hadn't a clue, but after a few happy hours browsing these wonderful blogs I knew I needed one of my own and buttons for brains was born (the name is my hubby's fault).
Now here I am many years later with a huge circle of online friends who encourage and support me and each other. It really lifts this cardmaking hobby to a whole other level.

And receiving gifts like this from someone you have never met but someone you call a dear online friend - amazing!

Smile....

Hello. I have a fun card to share today, I hope it makes you smile! I used stamps from three different sets to create my card. The bunny is from a set called 'a little lovin' by Paper Smooches, the balloons are from a Lil'inker set and the sentiment is from the 'laugh out loud' set by Clearly Besotted.

I coloured the bunny using Copic marker pens and the balloons were stamped using Adirondack inks.

I am entering the Cute Card Thursday Challenge - dies/punches (the stamped images were diecut using their matching dies).

have a fun Easter

Hello. I'm just back from a lovely couple of days at The Oak Tree Inn, Balmaha on Loch Lomond side. The weather wasn't great, well, it is still only March, but good food, good wine and a proper relaxing read of some crafty magazines.

My card today features a brand new image from The DigiStamp Boutique. It's from the Chubby Easter Set and will be available later tonight. I coloured with copics and added some little wooden eggs that I picked up in Paperchase.
