Three Projects - September Sweet Treat Box

Hello. My September Sweet Treat Box popped through the letter box yesterday and today I had all day to play! Everything I have used on these projects came from the box. You can get your own box here over at Paper, Pen and Plan.

So, my first project is the two cards above. Really quick and super simple as it's just patterned paper and stickers. I am pretty pleased with them though, I think they look modern and fresh.

The next project is a divider for my planner. Once again a very easy make - paper and stickers! The Sweet Treat boxes are so well put together and co-ordinated you can't really go wrong.

I have filmed a quick flip through of my projects which you can see here.

For my third project I used the 'camera album'. I decided to look out some old photographs of my late Dad and dedicate this little album to him.

I used stickers and the felt pieces on the cover. The photo below is my Dad playing in the Glasgow Central Hotel football team.

And the photo below is of him with a group of friends. They look a cool bunch!

Mixed Media Journal - Out of Date Passport

Hello. This project has been waiting in the wings for about two years! And now, in the space of about a week, it's complete. I don't think I have ever finished a journal that fast! So, it's my old out of date passport which, of course, is the perfect size for my Prima Passport Travellers Notebook cover.

I am sharing a few of the pages here but there is a flip through of the complete journal over on my You Tube channel here.

The page below features an old picture of my Grandad. I'm not sure who the two ladies are but I suspect one of them might be my Gran. Look at those styles!

I have no idea who the folk in the pic' below are but they are off 'doon the water' to Dunoon.

The collage elements on my pages are all from my book 'Extraordinary Things to Cut Out and Collage'. This book has been one of my best buys in recent times. If you love playing around with mixed media I definitely recommend it. I also used texture paste, stencils, watercolours and washi - a real mix!

Dreams Come True

Hello. I have a card to share today. A change from my usual bright colours I have gone for a more vintagey feel. The papers are 'Dear Diary' by Mintay and the stamp is 'Garden Fairy' by Stamping Bella. I coloured the stamped images using distress markers and a little water.

I am entering the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday...anything goes.

Colouring Journal - part 1

Hello. I'm back from my staycation. We enjoyed a safe, socially distanced, dog friendly week south of the border in Northumberland. A gorgeous cottage in Warkworth, a castle at one end of the high street and a beautiful old church at the other. And, maybe more importantly, coffee shops and beer gardens in between the two!

I got this beautiful Prima Journal 'Poppies and Peonies' from Paper, Pen and Plan and have decided to use it for colouring practice. The pages are super smooth and satisfyingly thick, love it!

After stamping and colouring my image I decided to add a few bits of washi tape just to finish off the page.

I also decided to record the name of the stamp and the materials I used on journaling cards.

The White Rabbit page above has turned out a little more than just colouring! I have a bundle of Alice napkins and thought that one layer of a napkin would be a perfect finishing touch.

So there we are, another journal put to use!
