hello

Hello, I hope you are all safe and well. Today I have a bit of cuteness to share! The stamp is by Penny Black and is from the Eat Cake transparent set. I coloured using my Zig Real Brush Pens. The little hearts are from a string of hearts and I simply cut two off!

I am entering the challenge over at Allsorts....add a bow.

May Sweet Treat Box

Hello, it doesn't seem like a month since I showed you the April box! Even during these very strange days time still seems to fly past! This box is called 'Jubilee' and bright colours does not even begin to describe, it's right up my street!

I have picked out some bits I especially love for my pic' but, as usual, there is a full unboxing video here. If you would like your own box they are available here.

Self Care Journal

Hello. In the blog post here I mentioned that I would be using the little notebook from the April Sweet Treat Box as a self care journal. First of all I decorated the cover using papers and stickers from the box. I then added tabs along the top. The tabs are simply snippets of the cover paper with tiny alpha stickers from my stash.

I then picked out some magazine clippings and teamed them with stickers, again from the box,
for the opening pages.

I am not a gamer (like my hubby) but I have passed many hours recently playing Animal Crossing - New Horizons. I can highly recommend it - very addictive!

This page is inspired by the daisies in the park when we go for our daily walk. I have coloured the petals using the silver marker pen that came in the box. Doesn't show up well in the pic' but it adds a lovely highlight in real life!

Movie Bucket List - part 2

Hello, is anyone else finding that although they may have more time on their hands less gets done? I have not blogged since last Saturday! I have been busy though, two Zoom video calls with crafty pals. The first with Penelopes Creatives the team behind Paper, Pen and Plan and the second with Craftaholics Anonymous (the once a month meeting I go to). I am pretty impressed with Zoom, a great way to keep in touch. We have even managed to get technophobe family members to sign up and are hoping to do a video call tomorrow, fingers crossed for that one!

I have also been wasting away hours on Animal Crossing, I'm not a gamer like my hubby but games of this type just reel me right in! I need to collect all the fruit, bugs and fish and I need to build a bigger house. I need to get new residents to my island and I need to visit other islands. Oh the pressure!

And, a jigsaw and some wool to knit the dog a coat is on the way. And, I have an idea for another journal! And, there's still 95 movies to watch!!

Anyway, two more movies ticked off the bucket list. Shaun of the Dead, not funny. And as hubby said in his review Zomboats (we watched it on ITV2, it might be on catch-up) is so much better. And surprisingly, despite how popular it was at the time, niether of us had seen Forrest Gump and had never really fancied it. We were very pleasantly surprised, yes, it's very sentimental but I thoroughly enjoyed it and it gets a very well deserved nine.

Movie Bucket List - part 1 is here.

Movie Bucket List - part 1

Hello. Since, for the foreseeable future, I can't make any entries in my Coffee or 111 Places journals I decided to start a movie journal. This one is a joint venture with my hubby. There are so many lists of movies to watch but we decided to follow the IMBD 'Movie Bucket List'. The one that's used for the 'scratch off' poster that you see in gift shops.

Of course I had to decorate the cover, I knew that film strip stamp would come in handy one day! Then searched the stash for anything film related, finally only finding stars! The inside cover has a short intro'.

We are not watching the films in order, I'm leaving the daily choice to hubby. So the first to be ticked off was Dirty Dancing. I think he wanted it over and done with!
I gave it a seven and hubby gave a surprising 5.

Next one Alien.
Hubby has taken on the doodling and journalling, he's doing a pretty good job!

And finally, till next week, Groundhog Day.
Which we agreed was much better than we remembered, both giving it a six.

Spring is Here!

Spring is here, but it's a different sort of spring this year, that's for sure. I am still doing all the indoor springy things though. The Easter tree is up and my collection of lambs are out! The glass rabbit (thank you Sheena) is keeping them company!

The stamps on my card are by Penny Black 'what a spring' and the sentiment is from the 'garden friends' set. The background papers are from 'Midnight' by Cocoa Vanilla.

I am entering my card into the following challenges....
Penny Black and More....anything goes
Creative Inspirations....april showers and flowers

April Sweet Treat Box

Hello. Today I want to share what's in my April Sweet Treat Box from Paper, Pen and Plan. This month's box is called 'Through the Year'. It's chalk full of stash to document, journal or scrapbook your year. I especially love all the nods to April, lots of cute brollies! I've taken a pic' (above) to show you a sneak peek but there's a full unboxing over on You Tube here.

Once I have opened my box I love to sort all the stash into this plastic tray (some old packaging). I can then see all my goodies at a glance. This month over in the Paper, Pen and Plan facebook group there's going to be weekly self care prompts to help with your journaling. I am planning on decorating the cover of the notebook and using it to record my self care. Why not join in?

Nature Journal - part 12

Hello. For obvious reasons my Coffee and 111 Places Journals are taking a back seat. This means more entries in my Nature Journal! This time, during our daily walk, I picked up some fir cones and catkins. Inspiration for another couple of pages.

The background paper and stickers are from the Simple Stories Garden District Collection. This collection is perfect if you fancy starting your own nature journal (or if, like me, you just love pretty paper). It's available here and if you quote LIZ10 you get 10% off.
