Bun-Bun

Hello, I made this card yesterday - there was a touch of Spring in the air. I just looked out and today it is snowing!! Anyway, how adorable is Bun-Bun? He is a Penny Black wood mounted stamp and he has been in my collection for many years. I have filmed a step by step video to show how I put this card together. Hello. I have a cute card to share today. The sweet image is a Stamping Bella stamp called 'happy everything wobbles' and I coloured using my ZIG Real Brush markers. The background die is called 'butterfly oval' and is by Tutti Designs. The paper is from a Simple Stories pad called 'summer fresh' and the sentiment is from the 'sentimental' set by Tracey Hey.

Spring is Here!

Hello. I have a happy, bright card to share today. The stamp is 'What a Spring' by Penny Black and the background papers are 'now and then' by MME. The cute doily was in one of my Sweet Treat boxes from ages ago - I've been hoarding it! I coloured the stamped images using my Inktense pencils. Planner Time!

Hello. Today I want to share what I have added to my travellers notebook planner. Two little storage envelopes decorated with cute stickers. The papers and stickers were in my March Sweet Treat box from Paper, Pen and Plan. I also used my new envelope punchboard!

I am storing my stamps and stencils in one envelope and my daily plan sheets in the other. 

I am super happy with how they turned out!

Nature Journal

Hello. Remember this post when I shared my new nature journal? Well, I have made my first entry. It features a pic' I took during our morning dog walk. The sun was shining (unusually) and casting long shadows on the ground. I did a bit of collage using some vintage paper, stamping and new ephemera. I added journaling to the paper bag side of the page. 

I filmed a step by step process of how the pages came together.

Happy Birthday

Hello. Today I have a super girly card to share. The stamp set is 'flower girl' by Waffle Flower and the background paper is 'refreshed' by Authentique. I'm afraid I don't know the name of the background die panel - I really should have used a sticker on the back before I threw away the packaging. 

Once again I filmed a step by step showing how I coloured using Copic markers and how I put the card together. You can watch here....

Hello. Today I have a super easy mixed media/collage page to share. Brown paper bags, ABStudios Crafters Bundle, some paint and stamping - job done! And.....I had the sewing machine out, I think the random stitching looks cool, what do you think?

Altered Golden Book - new nature journal

Hello. Have you heard of Golden Books? Up to a few weeks ago I hadn't either! Then I watched a video and some clever person altered one and I knew it was something I wanted to try. Off I went online and found some Golden Books in a second hand bookshop. 

So far I have taken the original book pages out, made a new spine, sewn in three signatures that include the original book pages, in fact - why not take a look at my short flip through video, it explains it better!

 I will film a 'how to alter a Golden Book' with another one of my books soon.

This will be my new nature journal, as you can see from this blog post my old one has become a chunky monkey and deserves to be retired!

I am super pleased with how this has turned out and can't wait to decorate it more and add loads of entries. I will be stamping, collaging, journalling and anything else that takes my fancy!

Hello, today I have a card to share. Aren't these woodland creatures super cute? I'm loving these Anita Jeram stamps by Colorado Craft Company, the set I used here is called 'better together'. I coloured the stamped image using watercolour markers, watch how - I filmed a step by step -

The diecut daisy is by Sizzix 'wildflower stems #1' and the sentiment is by Mama Elephant 'everyday greetings'. The background paper is from a 6x6 pad called 'spring fling' by Pebbles.
