March Sweet Treat Box

Hello. The March Sweet Treat Box is called 'Capture This' and is  filled with gorgeous stash giving a nod to cameras and all things memory keeping. This theme is perfect for me at the moment because I have at last started on my long term project of documenting all my old photographs, but more of that in a separate blog post.

As usual I have filmed an unboxing video where you will see a proper close up of everything in the box. You can find it here on my You Tube channel.

You can buy a one off box or subscribe monthly, all the info' you need is here over at

the clock decided

Hello. I have another couple of pages in my art journal to share. The main clock/bird image is from a PaperArtsy set called Ding&Dong. The other stamps are mostly freebies from magazines.

These pages were originally in an old dictionary from a charity shop. I had plans to decorate all the pages to match one of the words on the page, but that didn't work out! So here is B for balloon and Y for year.

happy blooming birthday

Hello. Today's card could not be more springlike! It's very yellow!! The stamp is from the Loads of Blooms set by Newton's Nook and I coloured with my Zig brush markers.

I am entering my card into the Cute Card Thursday Challenge...add buttons/enamel dots.

art journal practice

Hello. I've been having a bit of a play in my art journal. Practicing with some new water colours by Altenew. I got them a while back so decided it was time for a proper practice.
The stamp above is 'Willow' by Santoro and the one below is by Prima and doesn't seem to have a name!

happy easter

Hello. I've made a start on my Easter cards! I used a very old wood mounted Penny Black stamp called 'What a Spring'. I stamped using Versafine and coloured with my Inktense pencils. The sentiments are stickers, I always feel slightly guilty when I just use stickers but I thought these ones matched pretty well. And, I've had them forever so it feels good to use them!

Hobonichi - February Update

Hello. Today I'm share a few pages in my Hobonichi Techo. If you want to find out more about what this is all about then have a read of my blog post here.

On these pages I used Journaling Notecards from the Pretty Pale collection by Prima. I stamped over the notecards using some magazine free gift stamps. I then coloured with my ZIG markers. Some of the background shows through the stamped images but I don't mind that! I then added some matching washi as a finishing touch.

On the page below I cut up one of the Journaling Cards and re-arranged on my page. I love that you get three of each card in the pack so if the idea in my head doesn't work out you still have two cards to play around with!

The Prima range is available over at Paper, Pen and Plan here.

a sweet spring hello

Hello. I have two for the price of one today! This new stamp set, great service from Seven Hills Crafts again, popped through my letter box the other day and I couldn't wait to have a play. The stamp is 'Woodland Spring' by Newton's Nook. I stamped with Versafine and coloured using ZIG Real Brush markers.

I love that I'm seeing the first signs of spring in the garden although I do wish the birds would keep the noise down at dawn!

My article features the super cute Enchanted Meadow paper pack by Docrafts.

Plan with me

Hello. It's been a while since I shared my planner pages. When I prepped my February pages the other week we were having a really cold snap. Now, when it's time to use these pages it's actually quite mild, and today it feels like there's a touch of spring in the air!

happy birthday

Hello. This stamp set only just popped through the letterbox this week! It's a little bit different and I couldn't wait to colour it up and make a card. It's called 'Tiny Terrarium' by Waffle Flower.
What do you think - too different?

make a wish

Hello. I've been having a play with my 'Wish' stamp set from Waffle Flower. It's a great set to play around with 'cos there's loads of little different flowers and leaves as well as the cute characters. I used my Zig Real Brush markers to colour. The background panel is 'Burlap Background' and I stamped using Versamagic chalk ink 'aloe vera' and 'aegean blue'.

I am entering the anything goes challenge at Cute Card Thursday.

Bloggers Journal

Hello. Today I want to share a little folder I made to hold some bits and bobs in my bloggers Journal. Everything I used is from the February Sweet Treat box from Paper, Pen and Plan
On the front is a doily, two journalling cards and some stickers. I doodled around some of the edges.

I made a pocket for the inside using some of the patterned paper. Pompom trim down the edge gives a cute finishing touch.
It's now a handy place for my spare stickers and trim.

Hobonichi - January Update

Hello. Just popping on to share a couple of pages in my Hobonichi. If you want to find out more about what this is all about then have a read of my blog post here.

On the 18th I tried a bit of watercolouring. That brown, red and black blob is supposed to be the delicious waffles and berries we get on a Friday morning at Kember&Jones, Byres Rd. Believe me, they taste much better than they look here!

And here's a new use for embossing folders and washi tape! When your fridge door breaks and won't stay closed you'll now know what to do.....

Craftaholics Anonymous Meeting

Hello. You may have read before that I go to a monthly meeting of crafters. It's a great chance to learn something new, have a blether, and drink plenty tea! Yesterday I tried two different crafts. I decorated the bag above by sewing on silk flowers, buttons and beads. The gorgeous unicorn was screen printed onto the bag by Heather using her Screen-pal from Be Creative.

In the second half I tried my hand at Zentangle with Mandie. I was quite pleased with my first attempt and will definately be practicing, so relaxing!

hello friend

Hello. My card today features one of the first stamps I ever bought. It's called Potted Kitty and it's from WhipperSnapper. I like to think the pottery cat is a little bit annoyed, but secretly amused, by the cat on the card!
