New Art Journal - part 1

Hello, today I'm sharing my new art/mixed media journal. You may have read a previous blog post about my Prima Mixed Media book, well, I have been enjoying having fun in that book so much I treated myself to another! This one is smaller at 14cm square and is by Arteza. For my first page I used papers from 'Mechanical Seaworld' by Stamperia. Some of the background is tissue paper and washi. I then added some colour with my Inktense pencils.

For the page above I used a few different washi tapes and rice paper by Calambour. I have to say, using rice paper is my new favourite thing!

And finally this page is washi, decorative tissue paper and a floral napkin. The two butterflies and the tag is from the Coral Mini Collection by 49andMarket. Using a napkin is very similar to rice paper (and a little bit cheaper).

You Make Me Bop!

Hello. I'm back with a card! And I'm still loving my Penny Black stamps. Most of my PBs are wood mounted and I know this isn't at all popular at the moment but I love them so much I am happy for them to take up the extra room needed!

This crazy pair are 'You Make Me Bob', I stamped using my Versafine ink pad and coloured with Inktense watercolour pencils. The sentiment is from a set by Neat and Tangled called 'Typed Sentiments'. I love this set as the sentiments are quirky and a bit different from the norm'.

I knew I wanted to add some rolled flowers using the music paper, but boy, I had forgotten how fiddly they are!

I am entering the challenge at Allsorts....use a hand coloured image.

Nature Journal - Part 13

Hello. I have another entry in my Nature Journal to share. This month's Sweet Treat Box included a piece of acetate. I thought it might be a cool idea to make some faux microscope slides. I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out!

Parts 1 - 12 are here...
