nature journal - part 9

Hello. I have another page in my nature journal to share. This one features the changing seasons. The background paper is from my Vintage Botanicals pad and I swiped some Impasto paint down the sides. The trees are from a stamp set by Lawn Fawn called 'Before n After'. A couple of stickers as a finishing touch and job done.

Paper pads and paints are from Paper, Pen and Plan. The Lawn Fawn stamp set is from Seven Hills Crafts.

thank you for being so kind

Hello. Today I'm sharing my regular make for Seven Hills Crafts. When a stamp has a larger area to colour I like to paper piece, for two reasons. Firstly, I don't need to worry about getting all the colouring and shading right on a large area and secondly I think it looks really cool to match the stamped image perfectly with the background!

I stamped the little girl from the 'Bring Out The Sunshine' set by My Favorite Things onto white cardstock and then onto the two patterned papers from the 'Vintage Botanicals'  pad by Simple Stories. The matching die set for this stamp set is available here.

Then I carefully cut around the dress, shorts and hat. Before I adhere the pieces to the main image I coloured the rest of it using marker pens. I also coloured a quick outline where the dress will go just in case my cutting is a little bit off! The large sentiment from the 'So Kind' set by Avery Elle is the perfect size for the white space left on the card.

Thanks for stopping by today, happy crafting!

hello stampurr

Hello. I have gone for a monochrome look today, maybe I have been influenced by the grey day outside! The background paper is from an Altenew pad called Essential Rock Collection and the white piece of cardstock was embossed using an Echo Park embossing folder called Pirate Spots.

The images are from two Waffle Flower sets - Hello Stampurr and Favourite Hobby. This card will be winging it's way to a crafty cat loving friend very soon!

I'm Late!

Hello. Today I'm sharing my regular make for Seven Hills Crafts. Alice in Wonderland is one of my favourite books, I have a beautifully illustrated version my hubby bought me a few years ago. One of my most treasured possessions. So when Stamping Bella brought out 'oddball' versions of the characters I knew I had to treat myself.

I created my two background panels by stencilling ink through the Buffalo Plaid Builder Stencil by Altenew. To give me lots of dimension I popped them on to the card using foam tape. I then coloured the Oddball White Rabbit using marker pens, the matching die for the white rabbit is available here.

I have used the sentiment that comes with the stamp set, perfect for belated birthday wishes. But it could easily be switched to any sentiment for a more general card.

Coffee Journal - part 2

Hello. Here are the next two entries in my coffee journal. The Coach House at Luss on the banks of Loch Lomond. It's in a beautiful spot which obviously means it gets super busy with tourists! But it's a decent size and the service is great. And Mesa, this was a new place on us and so far we have only been once. But, as hubby has said in his review, we will need to go again, for research purposes, of course!

Coffee Journal - part 1 is here.

Picture Perfect

Hello. Today I'm sharing my regular make for Seven Hills Crafts and it's a scrapbook page. I scrap in albums that are 6"x8" with a mix of pocket pages and cardstock pages, like this one. I chose to use my favourite paper pad Simple Vintage Botanicals as the colours in the papers pick up the colours in the photograph. To add interest to the background of the page I decided to weave strips of the papers and plus I don't have much of this pad left!

The fun selfie stamps in the Picture Perfect set are a great fit for any scrapbook page that features a cat or dog! I simply stamped, coloured and trimmed around. The sentiments in the set can also double up as headings for a page. I stamped them onto snippets of the Vintage Botanicals papers so that everything on the page works together.

And that's another happy memory recorded! Thanks for stopping by today, happy crafting!

Nature journal - part 8

Hello. The season is definately changing to Autumn and so is my nature journal. This page to mark September has a picture, taken in our local park, of some toadstools. And I have the perfect toadstool stamp for the opposite page. The cute stickers, washi and background papers are all from Paper, Pen and Plan.

24 Carrot Friend

Hello. Today I'm sharing my regular make for Seven Hills Crafts. As well as super cute characters I do love a punny sentiment! This 'Rooting For You' set by My Favorite Things ticks both those boxes. There's 'I Carrot About You', 'I Dig You', 'Thanks Bunches', 'I'm Rooting For You', 'I Love You A Whole Bunch' and, of course, the one I used. All perfect for a fun card.

The background papers are from the 'Simple Vintage Botanicals' pad, I love this pad so much. I think it might be the first time ever I will use up a whole paper pad! The aperture was die cut using the 'Garden Fancy' die by Hero Arts. I was tempted to ink a little colour round the edges but decided the white looked good against the papers.  I simply did some wonky stitching to add interest instead. I coloured the cute character with alcohol markers, the matching die for the stamp set is available here, and popped him on the card using foam pads.

Oh, and I happen to know this stamp set and matching die is on special offer at the mo', a real bargain!
