Merry Christmas - Bert

Hello. Meet Bert, one of the new characters at the DigiStamp Boutique. Don't you just want to pick him up and squish him - in a good way, of course!

I coloured Bert with Copic marker pens and the glamour dust on the stars and ground really does sparkle in real life - honest!

Believe

Hello. I treated myself to a couple of Sugar Nellie digis. I saw this card that my new blogging buddy Marilyn did as her DT card for the Sugar Bowl challenge and I was smitten that very moment and needed that digi! And so I have taken my inspiration from Marilyns card, thank you.

I coloured with Copic marker pens and the background paper is from the Gilded Winter pad available in the BfB shop here. I am entering my little card into the Sugar Bowl Challenge.

Rightyho, I'm off now to claim my spot on the sofa for Strictly. Either the dog or hubby has to go!

Sending you a smooch

Hello. I've been having another wee practice with my new paints. This time on a Sugar Nellie stamp called Simon and Lola. Don't know if it's still available as it was one of the first stamps I ever bought, and that wasn't yesterday!

The hearts are My Favourite Things Dienamics 'Peek-a-Boo Hearts'. I have a thing about MFT dies just now, loving them and can't wait for the next new release!

The sentiment is from a Technique Tuesday set called 'I Like You'.

I like you

Hello. If you read this post here you will know that I got a new set of watercolour paints. Well, here are my first attempts using my new paints. Now, I do love my Inktense pencils but I think they will be put aside in favour of these (for a little while anyway!). It feels like you are using 'real' paints. They are thick but still a lovely watery look.

The card above is a Penny Black stamp called 'gossamer'. I did the background wash onto watercolour card and then stamped the image on the top once dry. I then stamped the image a second time, coloured using the paints, carefully trimmed around and attached to card using 3D foam pads.

This one features another Penny Black stamp called 'sunshine in the rain'. I kept some of the colouring on this one a little bit looser - I love the look that gives (and I think I pulled it off).
Anyway, I'll be back tomorrow with my Papertake Weekly Challenge design team card.

Friday, 5 September 2014

Woohoo....

....look what just arrived.
New, totally gorgeous, water colour paints.
I may not come out the crafty room for a while (if ever!)

Edited to add - a few folk have been asking the name of the paints (of course I should have mentioned it in my post!)
They are -
Kuretake Gansai Tambi Japanese Watercolour Paint Set
And I got them from Amazon.

Frantaging we will go!

Hello. My Christmas card makes are coming along nicely. Maybe this is the year I will have enough and will not need to resort to shop bought! We'll see. Anyway, my two cards both feature 'Cute Robin Chicklets' from the DigiStamp Boutique. I coloured with Prismacolour pencils and went a bit frantage crazy.

Edited - the embossing folder is called 'snowflakes' by Cuttlebug (I hope you see this Fran, couldn't get in touch any other way).

I am entering two challenges -

Allsorts...early Christmas makes
Cute Card Thursday...anything goes
