Cheeky Monkey

 Hello.
How cute is this little chap? He is from the Cheeky Monkey set, on special offer at the mo' over in The DigiStamp Boutique. I coloured with copics and paper pieced his hammock.

And on the subject of papers, don't these fit the bill here perfectly? They are from the Summer Lovin' pad by Carta Bella available here in my little Buttons for Brains shop.

Beach Huts

Hello. I would love a beach hut! Although I hear they sell for extra-ordinary amounts of money these days. Another dream that will need to wait for that big lotto win!

My card features papers from the 'capture life' pad by Echo Park. The stripes reminded me of deck chairs and the swimsuit papers, well, just perfect as the backdrop to my little stamped beach huts.

The paper pad is available here in the BfB shop.

Up, Up and Away

Hello. I haven't blogged since Tuesday but I have a really good excuse! New stock arrived for the BfB shop. Loads of new 6x6 paper pads -

These three plus loads more. And packs of much sought after enamel dots
So, onto my card, as it's Sunday it features a DigiStamp Boutique image. A hot air balloon and matching sentiment from the Bon Voyage set. I think the Bon Voyage set is my fave DSB set of all time!
Although have you seen the brand new cheeky monkeys? I might need to re-consider!

Monday's News

I have three magazine articles on the shelves at the moment. The one above is in Get Stamping 8 and features 6 cards using Paper Smooches dies and stamp sets.Super cute!
The second one is in Papercraft Essentials 106. It's an article all about using sketches when you are short of inspiration. There are 8 cards and all for that most difficult of subjects - men!
And the final article is in Simply Cards and Papercraft 123. This one is using my favourite technique - watercolouring and features the latest oriental stamps.

You may have seen in the news that the latest public art 'The Kelpies' has just opened. We spent a lovely day wandering around, taking loads of pictures that one day will end up in a scrapbook (one day!) There is still a bit of work to be done on the surrounding area but really worth a visit if you are anywhere near.
Righty ho, that's all the news, see you tomorrow for the Papertake Weekly Challenge.

Bon Voyage

Hello. As you know on a Sunday I share my Digi Stamp Boutique card. Well not today.
Today I have two cards!
Because I couldn't resist having a play with two of the brand new images from the Bon Voyage set. Super cute!

I coloured with Prismacolour pencils and used MFT Blueprints dies. The papers are Carta Bella 'It's a Celebration' and are available here. I have also used some vellum on the second card. I've noticed it's making a bit of a comeback in the cardmaking world.
So, if you want to give using vellum a bit of a go, you get two sheets of premium vellum with the Kelly Purkey 'mon ami' kit available here in the BfB shop.

One you...

 Hello.
I treated myself to a 'My Favourite Things' stamp set. Isn't she adorable? I coloured her using copic pens.

No patterned paper today. I did a stamped background instead using a stamp from the '7 Dots Studio' set 'illumination'.
The set is available here in the BfB shop and also includes some great sentiments like the one I used on my card.

Before I go I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who applied to be a designer for the shop. It was a very tough decision but I would like you to meet my two designers -

Fiona and Beth

Their designs featuring products from the Buttons for Brains shop will soon be appearing in the shop gallery and facebook page - look out for them!

Happy Birthday

 Hello.
The same, but different!
You'll know what I mean if you saw yesterday's card.

Used those BoBunny zip-a-dee-doodle papers again. I'll need another pad soon, now let me think, where will have these sought after papers in stock?
Oh yes, that's right, the Buttons for Brains shop

I best get a move on though 'cos after yesterdays card folk took a shine to them and a few went whizzing off to happy customers this morning.
