Another Year Older!
Hip, hip the weekend is here! That means it is time to set another Penny Black Challenge. This week the challenge is....
The papers I have 'patched' are Kioshi by Basic Grey and I have used a Penny Black Stickeroo from the So Cute! sheet. Stickeroos are great to have on hand when crafty time is a bit scarce.
This week we have not one, but two fabulous sponsors...
The DT were all lucky enough to be given a selection of ribbon to play with and I have used a piece to finish off my card. Take a peek here to see what my teamies all did with their ribbon. You are sure to see lots of lovelyness!

Catch a Wave!
Summer is definitely with us and here is Alfie, ready to catch a wave. This didn't quite turn out as I imagined in my head 'cos I have covered up more of the beachy paper than I meant to. Never mind, I think you still see enough to get a feel for what's going on.
This fits a whopping 6 challenges, so here goes....
Creative Inspirations...one for the boys
Polka Doodles...male theme
One Stop...one for the boys
Magical...something for a male
Quirky...summer
Sunday Sketch and Stamp...an excellent sketch
The image is 'Alfie Summer Fun' from the DigiStamp Boutique and I have coloured with copics. The DP is 'Paradise Lingo' by BoBunny.

Butterflies and Blooms
Barbecue weather is still with us. That means there won't be a lettuce leaf to be had by 2pm, it's the only time us Scots eat salad!
Anyway, I have added another Martha Stewart punch to my collection and I'm likin' it! The image is Kira from the DigiStamp Boutique and I coloured with copics. The papers are 'Honey and Hugs' by Papermania.
I am entering this into 4 challenges....
Friday Sketchers....brill' sketch
Alphabet....H for heart (it's there, in the middle of the flower)
DareU2Digi....blooms and butterflies
Bee Crafty....pink n girly
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend. I'm off now to meet my friend in Glasgow for a latte and a natter.

Pretty Kira
It was a glorious day here in the West of Scotland and I hope the sun is shining where you are too. I'm loving the World Cup, means I don't feel guilty spending time in the crafty corner!
Speaking of the World Cup, Sally-Ann over at the DigiStamp Boutique has reduced all her football related images, so go grab yourself a bargain. Perfect for Fathers Day.
Here is Kira sitting on a toadstool looking as pretty as can be. You can find her here. And if you use a DigiStamp Boutique image in your creation why not enter here and you might win a fabby prize.

An Award!
No card to share but I should have something to show tomorrow. I was weeding my Mum's garden tonight (great fun). So I have warned her I will not be happy if she lets the weeds grow back!
Anyhoo, I got this award from a new blogging buddy, Katina, you should pop over here to her blog for a nosey, definitely worth a visit.
So this is how it works....I now tell you six fibs and one truth about myself and you try and guess which one is the truth.....so brace yourselves....here goes....
1. I used to live next door to Ewan McGregor.
2. I have never tasted chocolate biscuits.
3. I am a fully trained TV audience member and have whooped and hollared at recordings of BBCs 'Hole in the Wall'.
4. I am a size zero.
5. The nun's always said I was a good singer.
6. I was a Butlin's redcoat.
7. Next week I am getting a tattoo of a button on my buttock!

Snapshots of London with......
....with my new toy, a Sony digital SLR camera. We decided, a bit last minute, to take ourselves off to London for a long weekend.
So on to lastminute.com for theatre tickets. Managed to get some decent seats for our first choice, Sweet Charity. If you get the chance, don't hesitate it is one of the best musicals I have seen and Tamzin Outhwaite is brilliant.
We were staying at the Riverbank Park Plaza Hotel, and this was the view.....
And this is me practicing at being a bit arty farty...
We spent the best part of Saturday at Portobello Market and Nottinghill. Stars(?) spotted were Ben Fogle (from many animal programmes) and Ashley Jenson (Extras and Ugly Betty). And I am 99% sure it was Lilly Allen but hubby disagrees.
This shop window made me smile...
This is a trendy clothes shop in Portobello Road called All Saints, now we know where all the old sewing machines are!
Off now round the blogs to have a nosey at what I've missed while I was away.

Splat!
Happy Saturday everyone, time for another Penny Black challenge. This week we have a sketch for you, designed especially by our Penny Black teamie Janneke.
For my card I used Basic Grey papers 'max and whiskers' and, of course, the Penny Black stamp 'all shook up'. I finished with a few brads and a little wooden charm I picked up in Hobbycraft with this very stamp in mind.

Little Mermaid
I tried to give this one a bit of a beachy feel using some jute mesh, I think it works quite well. The image is Mermaid Kira from the DigiStamp Boutique and I coloured with copics. I also added sparkle to her tail with a glitter Spica pen but it hasn't come thru' in the piccy (but guess what, and I'm sooo excited, a brand spanking new Sony Digital SLR camera was bought today, but more of that another time). The papers are by Doodlebug and I finished off with a little dolphin charm.
Is everyone remembering that you have the whole of June to enter a card here?Just add a link to ANY card you make this month using a Digi Stamp Boutique image, and you'll be in with a chance of winning 5 images of your choice from the website. Hi
Happy weekend everyone. Time for another challenge on the fabulous Penny Black Saturday. This week's theme is 'Swirls' and we have two brilliant prizes .
This from Valentines....
And, from our brand new sponsor, Stampers Supermarket, a Penny Black stamp of the winner's choice.
How cool is that?
How cool is that?
For my card I used a little hedgie from the 'Teddy & Company' transparent set. I usually colour PB stamps with water colours but this time I coloured with copics, don't think it works as well. Never mind, lesson learned....don't be a lazy crafter, get up and put some water in your egg cup and get the pencils out, it would only take 2 minutes!
We hope you can swirl with us this week. For fabby inspiration check out what all my teamies have made here.

Crafty Calendar..... bugs and beasties
I was one of those people who laughed at poor souls being chased by a wasp. Look, they're doing the 'wasp dance' I used to say. Well, let me tell you, it's sooooore! Two years ago, on holiday in Rome, in the House of the Vestal Virgins, I was stung. I now do the best wasp dance you will ever see!
So I have kept my 'Bugs and Beasties' card for this months Crafty Calendar challenge to a bug I don't mind, butterflies. This also fits in with the optional extra of wings.
I have used Isabella from the DigiStamp Boutique, coloured her with copics and paper pieced her dress.
Please check out the fabulous creations my teamies have come up with this month, you are sure to get the crafting 'bug'!
I am also entering this card into the Fab'n'Funky challenge which is 'paper piecing'.

Meet Jasper....
...the friendly mouse, not to be confused with Casper the friendly ghost.
Jasper looks much happier than the mouse that used to come and visit us. He was all nervy and twitchy, but quite cute all the same. We stopped putting out nuts and fat balls, in the hope that the birds will eat the spiders, so he no longer visits. I hope he's doing OK.
Jasper is one of this months new images over on the DigiStamp Boutique. I coloured him with copics and the papers are by Doodlebug.
Unusually for me he fits 5, yes 5, challenges....
My Partner in Crafting Crime.....happy birthday
Copic Creations.....animals
Papertake.....fun fun fun
Charisma.....flowers
Moving Along with the Times....great sketch

Well, as promised, another card from the cutie Woodland collection by Sally-Ann over on the DigiStamp Boutique. Once again I have coloured with Copics and used bloom&grow papers by My Mind's Eye. All the papers in the pack fit these images perfectly, it makes things so much easier when you find a great match.
This fits the challenge on....
Delightful Sketches....texture.
What a Hoot!
Oh my, it's the first day of June already. I can't believe how fast time passes, must be getting older! Anyways, the first of the month means it is DigiStamp Boutique offer of the month release day. And this month Sally-Ann has outdone herself, a set of Woodland cuties.
I coloured the image with Copics and the papers are 'bloom&grow' by My Mind's Eye.
This (nearly) fits the sketch over on Sweet Sketch Wednesday. I hope I can be forgiven for using a square where the oval should be!
I'll be back later with more woodland wonderfulness.
