happy birthday

Hello. When lacking in inspiration and ideas who you gonna' call? No, not ghostbusters! A Penny Black stamp and Blueprints dies, it never fails.

Pick out some papers, this time they are all from Doodlebug 'stars and stripes'. Die cut the background pieces using My Favourite Things Blueprints 14. Stamp 'London Calling' by Penny Black, colour and cut out. A button, twine and sentiment - job done.

I am entering these challenges -

Penny Black and More - all creatures great and small
Creative Inspirations - anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - bright colours

I wonder who the little hedgie is calling?

a fairy

Hello. There's that doily stamp again! This time I've used it along with 'garden fairy' from Stamping Bella. Not sure about stamping the sentiment over the doily stamp but hey ho it's done now. Lesson learned for future!

you are beary special

Hello. Have you ever bought a stamp, put it away unused and then about two years later use it and now wonder why you have never used it 'cos you're really quite pleased with how it turned out? Well, that very thing happened to me with the doily stamp I used on this card. In fact, it's still on my desk to be used again! The bear and all the flowery images are the 'bear & bird' stamp set by Waffle Flower.

I stamped the doily using a Versa Magic chalk ink 'mango madness'. The bear and all his trimmings are stamped using Versafine 'onyx black' and coloured with ZIG real brush pens.

I am entering my card into the Seven Hills Craft Challenge. It's a colour challenge and I chose the first option. The product I bought at Seven Hills is the Waffle Flower stamp set.

new home

Hello. And another in much the same style as my last card. This stamp is 'Tiny Townie Fairy Garden House'. Coloured with Zig pens and popped on a piece of patterned paper. Righty ho, short and sweet (again) as I'm busy, busy. Christmas has arrived in magazine world and I have two commissions to complete this week. Time to get the glitter out!

happy birthday

Hello. I treated myself to some of the new Stamping Bella stamps. I think these are my new addiction! This one is 'Tiny Townie Mermaid Set'. I coloured with my Zig pens, added a couple of wooden charms and a few sequins, job done!

I am entering the Cute Card Thursday challenge....charms.

Some art journaling

Hello. I don't art journal all that often but I was at my monthly Craftaholics Anonymous meeting yesterday and decided to do a couple of pages. I haven't actually 'journalled' on any of the pages. I guess, for me, art journaling is more about 'messy' stamping!

The pages above feature 'Bird Crazy' and Dylusions 'Further Around the Edge' stamps.
The background is patterned paper simply stuck on to my journal.

The envelope on the inside cover has 'Enjoy Life' by Indigo Blue and 'JM34 Jofy' by Paperartsy stamped and coloured using Distress pens. The girlie on the front cover is a doll stamp by Prima. I also added some stamped butterflies and washi.

The outside cover has been stamped using 'Typewriter Text' and 'Jumbo Abstract' both by My Favourite Things and 'Word Chain' by Clarity.

The left page features 'Words for Thought' by Stampers Anonymous and Dylusions 'Further Around the Edge' stamps. The page on the right is a napkin! I added some washi and inked around the edges.

I thoroughly enjoyed my inky crafternoon with the other ladies. Now, does anyone have any tips on how to get my fingers back to something that resembles a normal colour!
