The Makeover has begun!

Hello. I love to have a nosey at other crafters spaces and makeovers so thought I would share mine. This morning I took the first step. I emptied this unit which we have had for many years (it was orginally in my hubby's flat). Oh dear, is that a line of dust I see? Anyway, it was quite easy to empty as it mostly held my stamps and papers which were all in baskets. The unit will be replaced by a couple of these...
They are from Ikea (where else) and are called Kallax. I have also chosen one of these...

This will fit under the new desk. Well, I say desk, I have actually chosen to have a large table top instead of a desk. The opposite wall will have a row of these.....

The walls are going to get a coat of Mint Macaroon (doesn't that sound yummy) on Sunday and the furniture is due to be delivered later in the week.

So that's the plan. Fingers crossed it all works out, I'll post an update soon!

Nice! We bought the Linnmon/Alex combination early this year and I have my eye on Kallax (the new version of Expedit), but I'm not sure yet which version I want. Besides, my craftroom to be is taking second stage right now. First we need to focus on my husband's chemotherapy and on thawing my frozen shoulder. In the meantime, I'll just follow the developments of your craftroom.

Funny you should mention Ikea. I'm in the process of instaling a craft room in the back bedroom. The lst part has been finished. i.e The run of fitted wardrobes down one wall into the eaves and the walls behind (funny you should mention that too ) painted green. Waiting on the decorator to come back and attach new coving up and do the other two walls. In the process hubby said why don't you have a craft table in the centre of the room that you can walk right round so off to Ikea we went and I chose the Norden gate-leg table and 2 Ingolf chairs with added cushions (green of course). I love it. The electrics has been run into the centre of the room for power points. When it is all finished I will post piccys for you to have a virtual snoop. Looking forward to seeing your transformation. Hugs Mrs A.
