Oh my, it's so cold. I have four layers of clothes on, the heating cranked up full blast and I can still hardly feel my toes! Anyhoo, it's Thursday and that means it's time for my  DigiStamp Boutique DT card. And today my card features Murphy. He comes in a set of three images together with some great sentiments, including the one I have used here.

I coloured using Prismacolour Pencils and Zest-It. The button paper is from a 6x6 pad 'Kraft Notes - Forever Friends'.

Stamping Kit Giveaway

Bunny Hopping

Today I am sharing my first card as a guest over at The Stamp Basket. My DT box was choc full of gorgeous crafty goodies and I will be sharing what I do with it all over the next six weeks!
To start me off I chose this super cute Wild Rose Studio stamp 'Bunny Hopping' and teamed it with BoBunny papers. The flower is a Memory Box die 'Lovely Aster' cut using white card which I then coloured with copics pens. Here are links to all the items used -

A little while back these new stamps 'Jofy 09' by Paperartsy caught my eye and I treated myself! I loved their quirkiness and thought they would be a good choice for my occasional flirt with art journaling. 

Anyway, the usual sort of thing happened and they lay on the shelf in the crafty room as I didn't quite know what to do with them! Until this months Stamper magazine! Low and behold there is a whole feature on these very stamps. 

So, the one above is pretty much an exact copy of the card in the mag'. And the one below, although inspired by the mag', is all my own work!

I have an article all about watercolouring with Derwent Inktense pencils in the current issue of Simply Cards and Papercraft. And one of my cards made it onto the front cover, I'm so chuffed! So if you are after a great crafty read it's on the shelves now.

Life's a Garden

I bought a set of ink duster brushes the other week and tried one out on this card. I have to say they do work better than the little foam squares (I think). I just always seemed to get lines with the foam (I probably wasn't doing it right!) Anyway, the circle behind the flowers was done by making a circle stencil from a bit of scrap card, faded jeans distress ink and a brush. The stamps are from set HP1009EZ by Paperartsy.

I am entering the challenge at Stamping Sensations....the great outdoors.
 

Hoppy Easter

Hi, meet Bluebell the bunny! Bluebell is new in, and on special offer, over at The DigiStamp Boutique. You get two images - Bluebell with his egg (the one I have used) and Bluebell and Boo, so cute. You also get the little Hoppy Easter sentiment.

I used my Prismacolour pencils and Zest-It to colour (there is a link to my short video over on my sidebar). The papers are 'Kraft Notes' by Docraft. The gorgeous polka dot buttons are from The Stamp Basket. Oh, and there is a fabby sale on over there at the mo' so go nab yourself a bargain!

magazine article

Just hitting the shelves today is issue 92 of Papercraft Essentials. My article on page 18 is all about adding bling to your cards in a subtle way. I made five cards for the article, all using super cute images from the DigiStamp Boutique. 

Also in the mag are articles on alcohol inks and ways to use fabric on your cards. So all in all a great crafty read. Oh, and the free gift is a fab little bow maker!

happy birthday

I have some very happy news to share - I am delighted to be joining the guest design team over at The Stamp Basket. My DT box full of goodies is winging it's way to me as I type and I can't wait to get started! The Stamp Basket is choc full of crafty goodies. Take a peek here! To celebrate I have made a little card using 'little winged friends - tulip' by Bildmalarna. I coloured with watercolour pencils and the paper is by Echo Park.

 

Happy Birthday

This is the second of my new Wild Rose Studio stamps. She is called 'Annabelle with Bunting'. I stamped straight onto my card base and coloured with watercolour pencils. Just enough water to spread the colour as the card base is not really meant for watercolours, but you can get away with it if you are careful! The bunting came with a magazine free gift a while back and the sentiment is from a Hero Arts set.

You're the best

Just a flying visit from me tonight. I wanted to share the card I made for my Mum for Mothers Day. A wee touch of vintage ('cos I have a vintage Mum!) with the lace and crocheted flower and the stamp is by Lili of the Valley.

 

Pamper yourself

I have two cards to share today. Both using new images from the DigiStamp Boutique. The card above features Alyssa and I have coloured with copics and prismacolour pencils. 

The image below comes pre-coloured and I have kept it nice and simple. Don't you think this would be a great little set to craft with the kiddies and keep them amused and busy during the school break?

Easter

Have you seen these new stamps from Wild Rose Studio, just in over at The Stamp Basket? So cute, but I was very good and managed to limit myself to two. Although I do fear there may be more! Who can resist cute bunnies, bears and elephants!

I stamped onto watercolour card and used my Inktense pencils to colour. The flowers are by Dienamics and I popped a button onto the centre.

Woohoo! My February tag was a winner! I'm so chuffed and can't wait for my prize to arrive from over the pond! So here is my tag for March and once again I have had to use some alternatives. I think a butterfly is a fair swap for a bunny - they both begin with B and are found outside!! You can see Tim's tag here.
