For tonight's creation I used two stamps from the Penny Black transparent set 'hello friend'. The cute dog, don't you just love his ears? And his even cuter little mouse friend.
I coloured my images with watercolour pencils and did a bit of embossing along the middle strip. The black scallop bit is actually felt, doesn't show up too well in the photo. And finished off with my little letter stamps, I can't believe they languished at the back of the crafty cupboard for years, now it seems I can hardly make a card without them!
My card is for two challenges.....

just wanted to say....
My card for this weeks 'Less is More' challenge, a fabby sketch to follow.
A few weeks ago I won $50 to spend at Simon Says Stamp after winning their challenge. I ordered some stamps and this groovy 'rolled flower' die-namic. This is my first attempt and I am fairly pleased with how my three little rolled flowers turned out.

happy birthday Barney
Here is a bright 'n' bold card using Barney from the DigiStamp Boutique. I coloured Barney with prismapencils and the papers are by Doodlebug. I stamped out the happy birthday and added a few tiny buttons to finish.
I am entering my creation into this weeks challenge over on Digital Tuesday 'button up'. Just in the nick of time, I hope!
Remember there is still a couple of days left to enter the Boutique giveaway and competition.

photo frame
Here is my final project for this month's Simply Create Design Team duties.
I turned this little frame from Hobbycraft into this.....

Firstly I covered the frame with DCWV paper 'linen closet'. I then stamped out some flowers and leaves from the Hero Arts set 'dots n flowers' onto paper from the same pad and cut out. A twine bow finshes off.

hello
Good Morning Penny Black fans!
This week our challenge to you is.....
Recycle
For my card I used brown paper packaging and some string (there's a song there somewhere). Teamed it up with a super cute Penny Black stamp 'garden visit' which I watercoloured. Finished off with stitching, buttons and a stamped out hello.
So, for all the info on this weeks prize, last weeks winner and some fabulous recycled inspiration from my teamies visit the Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

sunny days
Here is my card for the current challenge over on The Ribbon Girl blog 'green and yellow'.
The minute I saw the challenge included yellow I thought of this Penny Black stamp 'sunny days'. The papers are from the springtime range by Echo Park. The must have bakers twine is, of course, from The Ribbon Girl.
The change in the weather and making bright sunny cards really lifts your spirits (or is that down to the cup of tea with the four finger kitkat).

special treasures
Two more cards for my design duties at Simply Create. Both using the Hero Arts clear set ' dots n flowers'. For both cards I watercoloured the stamped images and added some bling. Fairly simple but quite effective.
Have you seen the mood board on my sidebar? Click on it to find out all about the current challenge at Simply Create. There is £100 worth of goodies up for grabs!
I am entering my cards into the challenge over on 'A Spoonful of Sugar....rhinestones and flowers'.

you make me bop!
I treated myself to some of the new Penny Blacks the other week. Well, who can resist those cute hedgies, mice and pussy cats! It's like asking you to put a fruit pastel in your mouth without chewing it!
Used up some scraps of paper and a long forgotten musical notes sizzix die (promised you I would get round to using them).
This weeks challenge on Cute Card Thursday is 'music and dance'. A perfect theme for these two hedgies!

happy birthday
This weeks effort for the 'Less is More' challenge. A tricky one 'cos the theme is 'masculine'. I dug out my star dies from the back of the crafty cupboard and kept it very simple.
At first I was drawn to bright primary colours but when the stars were cut and placed it just didn't look right so I changed it to more muted colours. And this I am fairly happy with!

a little bird told me.....
My giddy aunt, second post in one night!
Just wanted to pop on my entry for this weeks Less is More challenge, 'one layer card - off the edge'. Well, this theme nearly sent me over the edge! What should I do? Swirls, flowers, butterflies would all work well. But I finally decided on this stamp set by Woodware.
I always need to put a bit of kraft card at the back of the light box when photographing my less is more card. Otherwise the edges of the card just disappear 'cos there is so much white!

Bella on Swing
Quick and easy and oh soooo cute! Here's Bella from the DigiStamp Boutique on her swing.
The image was coloured with promarkers/copics. The spotty paper was a freebie with a mag. The flowers and flower middle were punched. The leaf was die cut.
I think using black card for layering makes everything 'pop', don't you think?
I am entering Bella into two challenges......
Allsorts....lots of green

best wishes
For this month's design team duties over at Simply Create I was sent a Hero Arts clear set 'dots n flowers'. Love it! And here is my first creation.
I stamped out the flowers and leaves with versamark black onto white card then watercoloured them. Layered up pink and green card using a daisy border punch on the top layer. Attached the flower pieces together using brads and finished off with a Hero Arts sentiment.
I am entering my card into the Simon Says Challenge.....anything goes.

six
Good Morning Penny Black fans!
Where did that first hint of spring go? I couldn't believe it when I looked out yesterday morning to a blanket of snow! Thankfully it all disappeared quite fast but was still very chilly to say the least.
Anyway, moving on to this weeks challenge which is a colour theme......
Green, in honour of St. Patricks Day
I have used a Penny Black slapstick stamp 'hoppy days'. I stamped directly onto my card base and coloured the image with watercolour pencils. I stamped out three Hero Arts 'friendly flags' and gave them the watercolour treatment also. The letters were diecut using an X-cut alphabet die.
This weeks prize is a $20 voucher from our regular sponsor 1-2-3 Stitch.
So, once again there is gorgeous inspiration from my team mates and all the info you need over on the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. See you there!

say hi to bella
The cutest and best dressed bear in town!
She is one of the latest releases from the DigiStamp Boutique. And don't forget to pop over here to the DSB blog to enter the March competition and also take a shot at the fab give-away.
I printed the image directly on to my card base and coloured with prismacolour pencils. I paper pieced her pinafore, bow, the butterfly and the flowers. To finish I added some teeny punched butterflies. I'm a likin' this one (even if I say so myself)!
I am entering Bella into this weeks Less is More challenge....pastel colours.

sunshine and smiles
Good evening Penny Black fans.
I am back from my glorious week in the sunny Canaries. I had such a restful time. Listened to my ipod, read books, ate far too much and drank just about the right amount of red wine!
Thanks for all the lovely comments on the two cards I had scheduled. Hopefully I will get round for a bit of a nosey tomorrow to see what you have all been up to! Of course, now I have a pile of washing and ironing that would choke a horse!
Anyways, it's time for this weeks challenge.......
More Than One Fold
