Meet Coco....the cutest bear ever

Well we are still ankle deep in snow although it looks like there might be a bit of a thaw, here's hoping, 'cos I'm getting a bit fed up of it. So off work now until next Tuesday, but lots to do for our family Hogmanay bash.

We are having the traditional broth, steak pie, bun and shortbread. Not forgetting a wee dram or two. I've still to take DH's kilt out of the mothballs. He has a fine pair of knees y'know. Me - I'll be wearing my full Moira Anderson outfit (long tartan skirt, high collared blouse, tartan sash with brooch). I will also have a full set of bagpipes slung under my arm. You wouldn't believe the racket I can make.

So on to my card. This is for the fabby sketch on Sketch and Stash challenge. My new item is, of course, Coco. One of the cute new digi stamps available over in the DigiStamp Boutique (15% off all stamps until 3rd January). I have coloured Coco with Copics.

Just For You

Here I am with some unexpected time on my hands. Went to work this morning and there was no heating so we were sent home (hate when that happens). I have just had a mug of tea and the last of the mince pies to help me thaw out.

Anyways, here is my card for the sketch challenge on Truly Scrumptious. I have used another of my pressies a lovely stamp set of Fairy Doodles. There are three fairies in the set so you will be seeing more of these soon. The papers are my current faves by MME (and just as I had nearly run out of these the postie replenished my stock - thanks Sally Ann). I used Copics to colour.

Bouquet of Wishes

Well, that's it all over for another year. I hope you all had a lovely day. Santa was very good to me and brought some exceptionally cute stamps including this one from Lili of the Valley.

Couldn't wait to have a play so I trawled the challenge blogs to find one that suited and, hey, what do you know, over on Moving Along with the Times there is a brill sketch and you must also use a bear. I water coloured the image and the papers are by Papermania.

What a Difference a Day Makes

One day you are sunning yourself poolside and having a little tipple on your balcony......

The next day you are pulling on your thermal simmit and drawers (vest and pants) to face this....

I've Been Featured.......

....here, on the Divine Influence blog. What a delightful surprise on return from my holiday. I was gobsmacked to say the least. I now get to wear the 'I'm Divine' (DH is sniggering in the background, but we will simply ignore him) banner with pride on my sidebar.

Ahoy There Matey

Here's Sam again, how cute is he dressed as a pirate? And, arrrrre you ready for a barrrrgain (OK , in my head I'm talking like a pirate and I'm gonna stop now). Well, little Sam here and his best mate Suzie are the offer of the month over on the DigiStamp Boutique and if you make a card using one of these fab images then pop it on here for a chance of winning the monthly competition.

This follows the brill sketch over on the Papertake Weekly Challenge. I have used Copics to colour and the papers and brads are Basic Grey.

Ella Thank You

And finally, here is my third card to share tonight, phew! And isn't she simply gorgeous. Her name is Ella and you can find her here at the DigiStamp Boutique.

This fits in with two challenges....

Allsorts....Buttons....need I say more? I'm in!

The papers are MME and I coloured the image with Copics. I'm really pleased with this one, sometimes everything just seems to fit.

So, tomorrow I think I will start to wrap and on Thursday I might do the tree. I really want to have everything done for the weekend so that I can concentrate on packing my case....did I mention we had a week in the sun planned?

Suzie Fairy

Second card tonight and meet Suzie all dressed up in her fairy costume. Isn't she a sweetie? This one follows the sketch over on the One Stop Craft Challenge . Once again the image is from the DigiStamp Boutique and has been coloured with Copics, the papers are by Doodlebug.

Frillie Millie for a Birthday

I'm back. I took a week off from all things crafty and bloggy. I had to start getting organised for Christmas, and I'll tell you why. We are taking ourselves off to the sunshine in Dubai for a week in December, and I can't wait.

We are off out tonight to celebrate a friends birthday and this card is for her. I hope she likes it. We have some gorgeous Molton Brown smellies to go with it.

Oh, and while I'm here....do you love a bargain? The DigiStamp Boutique is having a bit of a sale....20% off all Christmas images. Even if you are already organised for this year why not squirrel them away for next year?
For this card the papers are BoBunny and the image is from PinkPetticoat. I used Copics to colour.

Santa's on his Way

....and he is (hopefully) bringing lots of goodies. I ordered some stamps from Lili of the Valley last week and I was soo excited when the parcel arrived this morning. But you won't be seeing them for a bit cos DH has snaffled them and hid them away as my birthday 'surprise'. Hmph!

Anyway, I still have something new to play with. This brill Santa is from The DigiStamp Boutique. And how cool is this? He comes with his red and black bits pre coloured, perfect for all those last minute quick cards (he comes uncoloured as well, if you are more organised than I am).

I am entering Santa into 4 challenges....

Sketch and Stash....great sketch and I have used my new Santa.
Dare U2 Digi....Glitter.
One Stop....Snowflakes.

I've Been Promoted!

....to a fully fledged member of the DigiStamp Boutique Design Team. I am soo pleased cos I just love using all the cute images that Sally-Ann produces.

I've not had much time this week to be crafty but I hope to be back in a bit with something new to share.

Pretty in Pink

Evie from the DigiStamp Boutique looks very pretty in pink, don't you think?

I can only take photographs in the daylight at the weekend now. So my plan is going to be take the photo inside as best I can, post them and then replace them the next weekend. It does make a huge difference to the colours. What does everyone else do? I have read that some of you use a 'light box'. What are they and do they work?

Now, if I can only convince DH that taking very early retirement is a good idea or at the very least part time this problem would be solved!

I have coloured Evie with Copics and I have used Doodlebug paper. I glitterfied her wings and the little flowers. I am entering this card into 5 challenges.....

Stamp Somethings......thanks for a fab sketch.
Cupcake....digi image.
Allsorts....for a child.
Papertake....digi sparkle.
Cute Card Thursday....glitter me silly.

Mum's Birthday

Thought I would just pop this on to share the card for my lovely Mum's birthday. I have used stickers, a nice change from stamping.

Maybe be back later with another card, if I finish it early enough to catch the light outside.

Award Time

I have been given this award from the lovely Alison (dragonlady ). It comes with a whole heap of questions which I will do later for I am off now to do some Christmas shopping.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Hello.....

.....is it me you're looking for?

The challenge on this weeks Penny Black is 'Song Title/Lyrics'. It's not one of my favourite songs but it always makes us smile when we see the awful video. You know the one? The one with the black blind girl and the big clay head.

Snow Much Fun

Another one done for the Christmas box, it's filling up nicely. But I will have to be making a start on my 'special' cards for special people. It's also my lovely Mum's birthday in a couple of weeks so that card is high on my 'to do' list.

This one fits the challenge over on Cupcake Craft 'Snow Much Fun'. The image is a Sugar Nellie and I have watercoloured him for a nice change from the copics. There is something very soothing and relaxing about watercolouring your images, don't you think?

I drew the holly myself and cut it out, it matches the holly sprig on his hat. Attention to detail is my middle name!

Special Delivery

Hi everyone. This winters first scrape of the car this morning, and boy was it a cold one, brrr. Anyway the garage has nearly been cleared of all 'junk'. Just one more trip to the dumparama should see it a clutter free zone and no more scraping for me, although actually it is DH's department to scrape!

So, the dragons name is Harold (see a couple of posts below). He does look like a Harold doesn't he? You can find him here at the DigiStamp Boutique. The papers and brads are by Basic Grey. I piled up two buttons a die cut star and two nestie circles together and tied with some cord for my embellie.

Here are the three challenges it fits...

A Spoonful of Sugar....an excellent sketch.
One Stop....Cards for Kids.
ABC....Green

Caught a Bug?

Hi everyone, hope you are all enjoying the weekend. It is a lovely blue sky, but cold, day here. This is how winter should be, none of that wind and rain malarky for me please.

This is just a quick card to let you know that this cutie image is the monthly freebie over on the DigiStamp Boutique. One click here and it will be yours. If you have never tried digi images before why not have a go with this one.

And, of course, I am also entering this card into 2 challenges...

Papertake....a great sketch.
My Time to Craft....So Many Scallops.

Blow Your Troubles Away

It's the first Friday of the month so that means it's time for another Crafty Calendar challenge. This months challenge is 'weather' (with the extra option of pearls)....very appropriate for this time of year 'cos I don't know about where you are, but here in the west of Scotland we get lots of weather every day!
For my card I opted for wind because I couldn't wait to ink up my new Sugar Nellie stamp 'Windswept'. I used Copics to colour and the papers are MME. My pearls finish off the punched flowers nicely.
So, you have all the way to Thursday 3rd December to be a 'weather girl'.
This months sponsor is the fabby bunnyzoescrafts.com....

We had a great response to last months challenge so we hope you can join in again this month.

White on White

So, I thought I would have a bit of an experiment with this one and make an easel card (I think that's what it's called). I really made it up as I went along but have seen a few in blogland so sort of knew what to do.

I'm giving the easel card a bash as the challenge on this weeks Penny Black Saturday is 'white on white' and I thought changing the shape of the card would add interest. I have to say I did enjoy this challenge as it is a chance to go to town with your punches and embossing folders.
