Me & You

Hello. Today I wanted to show you a quick and easy card using papers and 'whatnots' from the Black & White collection by Glitz. The papers, as the name would suggest, are mainly black and white but there are beautiful touches of grey and red. Perfect for modern wedding cards or anniversary cards. Or, if you are the kind of person who likes to be organised 10 months in advance - Valentines!

Here are the papers -

And here are the 'whatnots' -

Both the 6x6 paper pad and pack of 'whatnots' are in the Buttons for Brains shop. They are also available as part of a kit. In the kit you get -
  •  1 6x6 Glitz Paper Pad 'black & white' (24 pages, 12 double sided designs, 2 sheets per design)
  • 1 Pack of Glitz 'black & white' Whatnots
  •  Prima Stamp set 'free spirit' (7 stamps)
  • Teresa Collins Black Alpha Stickers (150 stickers)
  • 3m Black and White Twine
  • 1 Red Heart Paperclip
  • 1 A4 White Embossed Cardstock
  • 2 A4 Premium Vellum

See you tomorrow, it's Papertake Weekly Challenge time.

Mum's Palace

Hello. It's Sunday and my regular visitors will know this is the day I share my DigiStamp Boutique card, so here I am! How many of you would love to have a little crafty palace like this one? I know I would.

It actually reminds me of Calamity Jane when Doris day was giving her little shack the 'woman's touch' - am I showing my age now?

I coloured the image with copics. The gingham paper and accordion flower stickers are available to buy in the Buttons for Brains shop.

Monday's News

Hello. I've not done a Monday's News post for ages. Been so busy with the shop opening and magazine commissions, not complaining though - I love it!

Anyhoo, I have a cute set of cards in Papercraft Essentials. I got to play with some of the new Penny Black stamps and did some watercolouring. But you'll need to hurry if you want a copy, the new issue is out this Thursday (but that'll be next Monday's news).

See you tomorrow with my Papertake Weekly Challenge design team card.

The card above has been paper pieced and the papers I used can be found here, in the Buttons for Brains shop.

For the card below I coloured with Prismacolour pencils and the papers I used are available here.

Bloomin' Lovely

Hello. First of all thank you for all the well wishes for the shop (here and on facebook). Business is steadily growing and I am so pleased with the feedback I have received. Everyone is loving the kits I have put together. The sales rep' from Personal Impressions is coming to meet with us tomorrow. So fingers crossed for more gorgeous stock soon!

In the meantime I have another two cards to share made using kits from the shop (there are only a few left and these ones will not be re-stocked). The top card was made using the Garden Kit and the one below the Curiosity Kit.

You're Special

Hello. Everything you need to make this card (and more) is in the 'Hello Birdie' kit in the Buttons for Brains shop. It is a fairly easy card to put together and just needs a hint of colouring - I used copic pens.

See you tomorrow with my Papertake Weekly design team card. I'm off round the blogs for a nosey now - I've a lot of catching up to do.

Thank You - the Carta Bella 'it's a celebration' Kit

Hello. Opening day of the Buttons for Brains shop passed without a hitch. A quick trip to the post office this morning and all the orders are on their way, thank you.

That takes us nicely to todays card made using the 'it's a celebration' kit. This kit has a choice of three different stamp sets - 'thank you', 'happy birthday' and 'have a wonderful day'. All the details are here.

I've even made a little video run through of the kit, watch it here - no laughing now!
