Happy Girls

Hello. I'm back as promised with another card made with one of my new Unity stamps. This time the image is watercoloured. A simple background of diecut circles  - I had in my head diecut balloons as a background but the ones I have weren't the right size and looked odd! Mmmm, is there a gap in my stash? Do I need more dies??

It's pretty windy here (to say the least) and snow is forecast for right through the night and tomorrow. Time to batton down those hatches!

Rainbows and Stars

Hello. I didn't get round to posting yesterday so today you are getting another twofer! This time I've been having a play with my new Unity stamps. The owl above has been coloured using Copic pens and the heart below using watercolour pencils.

I'll be back tomorrow with another Unity card, so see you then!

Craft stash design team cards

Hello. My cards today both feature the Nested Stars die set from Craft Stash. One die set, brightly coloured card and job done!
Well, ok, a couple of sentiments, gems and buttons too!

My first video for Craft Stash is also in the bag! I'm just waiting for the go ahead to make it public. So watch this space!

Happy Day

Hello. I'm back today with another Penny Black card. This one is called 'fly with me' and the watercolour pencils are still on the go! The stamp is fairly big so just some room for a few die cut clouds and enamel dots. I do like blue on a card!

I am entering the challenge over at Creative Inspirations - anything goes plus optional sketch.

sense of wonder

Hello. Just popping on tonight to share a second card using another of my new Unity stamps. To be honest, although I love the image, it was the sentiment that sold it for me. And, once again, I used my beloved watercolour pencils to colour. I used watercolour card to die cut the flowers and leaves so that I could give them a touch of colour with the pencils too.

In a Flash

Hello. I have admired Unity stamps for a long time now but was sort of put off 'cos I couldn't find a UK stockist. And then I spotted a blogging buddy using them and after her recomendation I placed an order (quite a large order - oops - well, I have a lot of catching up to do). Yay, they arrived the other day all the way from Minnesota, USA! And I couldn't be more impressed.

This stamp and sentiment is from the Kit of the Month (yes, I signed up for the monthly kits too - oops again). I coloured the stamp using watercolour pencils. I stencilled the heart on the patterned paper, again using watercolour pencils. I like that the heart came out all splodgy, it suits the style of the stamp, I think.

I am entering the Unity Challenge - pink and red.

Sending Hugs

Hello. I have a real soft spot for Penny Black stamps, they were amongst the first stamps I ever bought. I think these little duckies are sooooooo cute and are called 'loving and hugging'.

I have built up a scene using MFT dies and a tiny flower punch. The sentiments are MFT as well.

I am entering the challenge over at Penny Black & More - one for the girls.

Special Friend

Hello. Yesterday's card featured stamps from Wplus9 and so does today's! Completely different tho'. This set is called 'Wishing You' and because I have the matching dies I thought I would try a 'foam sheet stamping colouring' technique (I don't know the technical term, I saw it somewhere on 'net so if it's your idea let me know and I will give credit).

I've got a little step by step here -
 1. Die cut the foam shape.
 2. Use a couple of sticky dots to attach to the acrylic block. Ink up.
 3. Stamp!
 4. Stamp again, this time using the 'real' stamp.
5. Voila!

Please let me know if these little step by steps are useful and I will do more!

On a completely different topic who is on Instagram? I have just discovered that you can only put photographs on from your phone. So, I have the app on the phone but my photographs are on the laptop. Is there an easy way to get them onto your phone to Instagram them?

And finally, I am entering my card into the anything goes challenge over at In The Pink.

Birthday Wishes

Hello. I made a card a little while back using a stencilled background and I was really pleased with how it turned out. So, here is another! I'm afraid I do not know what make the stencil is. I'm a terrible one for throwing away packaging! But I can tell you that the flowers are 'Doodle Buds' by Wplus9 and the sentiment is from the birthday wishes and balloons set by MFT. I coloured using my Stabilo pens, some water and a brush.

I am entering my card into the challenge over at Creative Inspirations 'Florals'.

Happy New Year and Magazine News!

Hello. Well, here we are in a brand new year. I wish all my readers, followers and crafty friends a very happy, healthy and creative one! I'm not really one for resolutions. I find I don't keep them! Having said that I do have some crafty plans for this year that I hope I will be able to stick to (with the help of my planner).

As some of you may know the Papertake Weekly Challenge has come to an end. I have also given up my demoing job for Trimcraft. So I am going to spend my extra spare crafty time pleasing me! I am hoping to work some more on those scrap and smash books. Blog more. Have a play with my new stash. And try to get my head round how Instagram works!

Anyhoo, are you after a great crafty read? Well, the latest edition of Simply Cards and Papercraft has hit the shelves. I have a couple of cards in the mag' as part of the 'Cardmakers Challenge'. The free gift is a fabby champagne glass die - very useful for all sorts of occasions. And there is loads of inspiration on how to use it. So go on, treat yourself!
