I'm back!

Hello. It's Sunday and that usually means I have my DigiStamp Boutique card to share but I am just back from a little jolly in Ibiza. So no card today just a picture, taken from our balcony, of the gorgeous sunrise. Ibiza is famous for it's spectacular sunsets but that's on the 'party' side of the island and my disco dancing shoes were hung up a long time ago!

This picture ticks off number 13 of the Summertime Scavenger Hunt 'A Sunrise'.

I have loads of catching up in blogland to do and will get time to do that later today. In the meantime a huge thanks for all the lovely comments on the two cards I had scheduled when I was away. It was a real treat to read them all.

Truffle and Flowers

Hello. I know everyone says this but it's so true - don't the weeks just whizz by! Seems like just yesterday I was on here posting my DigiStamp Boutique card and here I am again!

This week I have coloured the adorable Truffle, did some paper piecing, a diecut fence and some mini flower and butterfly punches - job done.

Christmas Tweets

Hello. I spotted a cushion in Next that said ' When in Doubt Add Glitter'. It made me smile, as glitter time has well and truly arrived in the crafty room! So, this adorable image is from the Christmas Tweets set from The DigiStamp Boutique. 

I coloured onto textured card with my Prismacolour pencils. This is the first time I have tried this technique and I quite like it. I saw it done somewhere in blogland and would love to give credit but I can't for the life of me remember where. If you know, please let me know!

Truffle and Cake

Hello. Today the adorable Truffle from the DigiStamp Boutique is taking centre stage on my card. Truffle is just one of many new images for August. There's Space Adventure, Simple Flowers and Christmas Tweets - so something for everyone really!

I coloured Truffle with copic markers and the papers are 'It's a Celebration' by Carta Bella and are available here in the BfB shop.

For my card I used my new Die-namics Blueprints 17 die set. And I have managed to find a half decent white ink pad! It's a Brilliance 'moonlight white'. Every white ink I have tried over the years has been disappointing. So you'll probably being seeing more stamping onto black or dark coloured card from me in future!

Monday's News

Hello. I thought I would pop on and let you know about this month's magazine articles. 

In issue 126 of Simply Cards and Papercraft I have two articles. The one above is a step by step guide to using watercolour paints. And the one below is all about Prismacolour pencils and the brand new Prima Bloom Girl stamps.

 In issue 110 of Papercraft Essentials I have six cute cards using brand new Penny Black stamps.

And look, one is the featured card on the front cover - so chuffed!

 Both magazines are on the shelves now and make for a great crafty read. I'll be back tomorrow with my Papertake Weekly Challenge card.

 

Snowy

Hello. Well, I've just about dried out! We went to the city centre today to watch the cycle race. If they show highlights on the telly later try and spot me - I'm at the corner of Argyle Street and Buchanan Street with a black and white butterfly umbrella (entirely inadequate). 

Anyway, I'm here now with my DigiStamp Boutique card. It features the happiest snowman I have ever seen! He's from The Snowy Fun Set and I coloured with copic pens. The papers are from Lili of the Valley and I used Die-namics Blueprints 3 to die cut all the background shapes.
