Monday's News

Hello. Well, I'm still packing boxes for my Mum's house move. Although she isn't a hoarder, forty years of 'stuff' is a lot to pack! But we're getting there. In the meantime I have given in and bought a Gelli Plate and a brayer. I will hopefully find time to have a play soon (does anyone have any quick tips for a beginner).

The latest edition of Papercraft Essentials is on the shelves and I have an article all about silhouettes. The magazine is a great crafty read so why not treat yourself.

I'll be back tomorrow to share my DT card for the Papertake Weekly Challenge, see you then!

Nuts About You

Hello. Meet Alvin, just new in at The DigiStamp Boutique and on special offer until the end of September. I coloured Alvin with prismacolour pencils and the papers are 'country lady' by Lili of the Valley.

I inked around the edges of the little wooden toadstools with a copic pen and it bled into the wood. But I like the effect it gives - a happy mistake!

It's International Talk Like a Pirate Day! Arrrrrr!

So I couldn't resist making a pirate card. I have used Pirate Joe from The DigiStamp Boutique and coloured with copic pens. The papers are 'on the bright side' by My Minds Eye.

Fairwinds, me hearties!

Happy Halloween

Hello. Spooky season is nearly here and there are brand new images in the DigiStamp Boutique that fit the bill perfectly. Witches, pumpkins, ghosts and more! There is also a Halloween freebie - a little set of spooky sentiments that you can nab here

For my card I used the ghost from the Halloween Squares set and copic pens to colour. A little snippet of BoBunny paper, some black machine stitching and I coudn't resist using a few pairs of googly eyes.

Don't forget that if you make something using any of the Boutique's images you can enter the monthly competition - all the details are here.

Papertake Weekly Challenge - design team card

Hello, it's time for another Papertake Weekly Challenge
And this week it's...

Child's Play

We are sponsored by the fabulous...

For my card I used a gorgeous Penny Black stamp which I watercoloured. I'm afraid it's another very quick and easy one, crafting time is very limited at the moment.

Although I do have very good news - Mum's house sold - yay! And an offer has been accepted on a beautiful purpose built retirement flat - double yay!
Thanks to all my crafty/blogging buddies who sent good wishes and positive thoughts my way - you guys are the best.
Now let the packing begin!

Very, very short and sweet today - selling a house is so stressful!

Papertake Weekly Challenge - design team card

Hello, it's time for another Papertake Weekly Challenge
And this week it's...

Anything Goes
(optional extra - make a Christmas card)

We have a fabulous sponsor...

For my card I used a Lili of the Valley stamp which I watercoloured, a snippet of dotty paper (I love dotty paper!) and some washi tape. Never quite sure of washi tape. I like the idea of it but when I use it I'm glad that it peels off easily! But this time it's staying - maybe I'm getting used to the way it looks.
