My first card using some of my new stash from the Hobbycraft Show at the SECC. I love this Memory Box tree die and I wish I could get my camera to show you how glittery the glitter is! The stamp is Polar Mimi by Penny Black and I used watercolour pencils to colour.

Have you put your name in the hat for my magazine giveaway? It's just in the post below and ends tomorrow evening.

Magazine Giveaway

Hello, I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. It's rotten old Monday tomorrow and back to work. Never mind, it's only until Wednesday and then it's craft time again!

This months edition of Papercraft Essentials has just hit the shelves. My article this month is called 'Seasonal Sentiments' and is all about making the sentiment the focal point of your card. If you look closely you will see a couple of my cards on the front cover.

Anyways, I have a copy of the magazine, unopened and complete with free gifts, to give away. Just leave a comment here and on Wednesday 31st October I will pick a name out the hat.

My new stash

So here is my crafty haul from Hobbycrafts at the SECC Glasgow. A couple of shaped card packs from Craftwork Cards (thanks Emma for the 10% off voucher), papers and stamps from Lili of the Valley, a Memory Box die and the glitteriest glitter in the whole wide world!

Check back tomorrow, I have the brand new edition of Papercraft Essentials magazine to give away.

Thursday, 25 October 2012

I'm exhausted....

.....but very happy, and very skint! The big craft show is on at the SECC in Glasgow and I was there for the doors opening. Tried my best to get round a few stalls before I took my first hit in the ribs from an overly keen crafters elbow! I will share a pic' of my purchases tomorrow. In the meantime here is a little card using a couple of new items that dropped thru' my letterbox the other day.

The wreath and bow is from the 'Signature Christmas' set by Clearly Besotted Stamps. And the banners are from a combined die and stamp set by Sizzix.

Just for You

Something a little different tonight. I have had this set of stamps by Woodware 'Indian Dreams' for ages and only used them once (shame on me). So I thought, right, before I buy more stamps at the SECC on Thursday I had better start using some of my uninked ones! OK, so now that's done, I have total freedom to buy new stamps at will!!

I am entering the ABC challenge...Z for Zoo

We have a winner....

Woohoo!

Email your address to elizabethmiller470@hotmail.com and I will get your magazines in the post as soon as possible.

Wishing you a Happy Christmas...

...and a Happy Monday too! As soon as I saw this weeks challenge over on Cupcake was 'Pieced Off'  I knew which stamp I was going to use. This little robin by Woodware immediately sprung to mind. It is the perfect stamp to paper piece! Nice and easy.

OK then, needs to be short and sweet from me today. I am working on a magazine commission that is taking me as far out my comfort zone as it is possible to be!

Happy Birthday

Very quick and easy card today. It's for the 'In The Pink' challenge which this week is buttons and bows. And you know me, can never resist a challenge that involves buttons!

The stamp is 'Ballerina Kiddo' by Stampendous and the papers are from my ever growing snippets box.

So who's on Twitter? I joined ages ago and then abandoned the idea. But the other week I resurrected my account and am determined to give it a go. I'm still finding my way around but the link is just over there on my sidebar if you fancy joining me!

Lot's of 'pink' challenges on the go just now so the obvious pink card to do is pink for a girl. Little Miss

I normally don't like the when the season changes to Autumn. Dark mornings, dark evenings, wind and rain.
But today is lovely. The sun is shining and the trees we look out onto are a mix of stunning shades of oranges and rusty reds. This has really lifted my mood and inspired me to make a nice colourful card.

For this card I have used a little stamp from the Strawberry Kisses range by Crafter's Companion. The papers are 'bubblegum hills' by Kaisercraft.

I am entering three challenges...

Creative Inspirations...a great sketch
Cupcake Craft...think pink
Crafter's Companion...birthdays

Happy Holidays

I have a fairly clean and simple card to share today. I have used three new crafty items (I had a bit of a splurge). The Penny Black stamp 'Polar Mimi' which I have coloured with distress pens. The Memory Box border die, I resisted that for far too long! And some Frantage embossing enamel.

I am entering my creation into this weeks Papertake Challenge...anything goes.

Magazine Giveaway

This month my article in Papercraft Essentials is all about money saving tips and tricks. The magazine is on the shelves now and is a must read for all crafty folk.
I have a copy of the magazine (complete with free gift) to giveaway. I will also include a little surprise candy bundle.

So, just leave a comment on this post. And if you want to spread the word that would be cool. And it would be even cooler if you are a follower. But none of that is a 'must do' to win! The giveaway will close next Sunday 7th October at 8pm(UK time).
