Hello everyone, a quick update on what's going on....
My Mum has been in hospital since Monday for tests with a view to an op' so I have been on visit duty. Obviously this means I have practically no time to hop round the blogs. I will catch up soon, all being well.
Sally-Ann at the DigiStamp Boutique is releasing new images tomorrow, 1st April, and take it from me they are as cute as cute can be!
I received an award from Sandra, thanks for thinking of me. It is now proudly displayed on my side bar. I have already posted interesting facts about me but will try to come up with something new to share soon.
The countdown continues. When I got home from the hospital last night I was at 98. So welcome and a big hello to my new followers.
And the countdown continues....only three to go...and if you have not got a clue what I am wittering on about see the post at the top of the blog!
It is my lovely friends wedding anniversary and I immediately thought this stamp from Lili of the Valley would fit the bill perfectly. The papers are 'green at heart' by basic grey and they must have somehow fell into my basket when I was shopping for my candy the other day. Don't you hate when that happens? I coloured the image with prismas.
And you can't make a card without it fitting a challenge so this follows the sketch over on Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
I am off now for my usual Sunday jaunt...latte, scone and natter.
She is one of a set of three cute Japanese characters that the DigiStamp Boutique has just released. A modern and quirky take on the 'oriental' theme. The little Japanese symbol means joy.
The papers are My Minds Eye and I coloured Sachi with Prismas.
Good Morning, It's the weekend, yay! And this weekend there are fantastic prizes to be won. Sweet Sketch Wednesday are holding a bunny hop sponsored by my boss Sally-Ann at the DigiStamp Boutique. Hop over to here to find out all about it and join in the fun. You could win digi images like the one I used on this card. And if you don't win there is 10% off all images this weekend.
Tiptoe through the tulips, through the tulips, that's where I'll be, just tiptoe...Ok I'm going to stop now. This is one of my favourite PBs but only seems to get an airing in Spring, which is a shame, note to self, use this stamp more often!
The bit of dotty paper is My Minds Eye and I used Prisma pencils to colour the stamped image. I nearly didn't use the little oval button in the centre of the flowers 'cos it's so cute, but what am I keepin' it for?
So here we are at the start of the working week, doesn't the weekend just fly past? We spent the day yesterday with my Mum...cinema then a fish tea. Although I did have to waken her up when the film started, perhaps that wee dram first was a mistake, bless!
This time using one of my Lili of the Valley fairy stamps. I was determined to use this gorgeous ribbon I got last week at the craft show so that's what decided the unusual (for me) colours of green and orange.
I used the same layout as the bunny card I did earlier in the week 'cos I really liked the way that one turned out!
The papers are My Minds Eye and I coloured the image with, yes, you've guessed, Prismas!
The papers are Urban Prairie by Basic Grey and the image is from the Mothers Day set at the DigiStamp Boutique. I coloured with prismas and added a little heart charm.
I have 2 cards to share today. The first one features Jim....lawn mowed, flower beds weeded, plants watered...time to hit the hammock! Isn't he a fun image? I have made a retirement card but he would also be perfect for a birthday or fathers day.
I have used my new best friends, my prismas, to colour Jim who is, by the way, from the DigiStamp Boutique. The papers are My Minds Eye.
And at long last I can get back to taking photographs outside, it makes such a difference, well I think anyway. Still practicing with my new Prisma pencils but this bonnie bunny from the DigiStamp Boutique makes it soo easy.
The papers are Milton & Co and I popped some card candy in the middle of the Prima flowers to finish them off. I'm likin' this one it's so Springy!
I finally gave in to the pull of the Prisma pencils....and they are fab. I worried I might be disappointed and DH was on standby with the tissues in case it all went horribly wrong!
This is my first effort and it was an absolute joy to colour Lucas from the DigiStamp Boutique with my new toys.
Just a quick post this morning as I am off to Ikea for a brouse (and will no doubt leave with an armful of tealights).
So meet Lucas, isn't he the cutest spaceman around? He is from the DigiStamp Boutique and I have used copics to colour (but my prismas arrived this morning and I'm soo excited...but more of that later).
Oh dear, another card I'm not so sure about. I normally pick out papers then colour the image to match but this time I did it the other way round and then had bother picking out the papers! In fact they sort of picked themselves and then the card just sort of 'happened'.
Thank Crunchie it's Friday! And it's also the first Friday of the month so that means it's time for another Crafty Calendar Challenge. This month's theme is Flower Power with the added option of pastel colours. Easy peasy, right? So pop over and join us to be in with a chance of winning a fabby prize from our sponsor Simon Says Stamp.
For my DT card I have used a PinkPetticoat image coloured with copics.
Today sees the launch of the DigiStamp Boutiques 'Offer of the Month' which this month is 'Spring Coco and Friends'. It is also time for my next calendar page....so how could I resist using Coco's friends, these adorable bunnies?
Hello, I'm Liz McGuire. I have been designing and making cards for over 10 years, serving on numerous design teams and completing assignments for various papercraft magazines.
Along with my cardmaking I like to try my hand at art journaling, memory keeping, smash books etc. And there is also my new obsession - planners and stationery! So there may be the occasional blog post on these topics.
I do have a real job but that's just to earn enough money to buy paper, stamps, pens and, of course, buttons!
Thanks for stopping by and do leave a comment and follow, if you like what you see.
