It's me!

There I am standing outside the O2 arena. Full of excitement and looking forward to boogieing along with the little purple one that is Prince. Little did I know I would be scared witless at the sheer drop I had to negotiate to get to my seat at what seemed liked a million miles up. DO NOT buy tickets for the upper level if you have even a hint of vertigo! I moved along the row hugging each person and pleading with them to save me from certain death.

Cupcake # 24 & Papertake Sketch # 7

On a bit of a roll with these doublers. So this one fits -

Cupcake - 3 pieces of card, 2 embellishments and 1 ribbon.

Papertake - Dawnys great sketch.

Getting the hang of the Copics pens. This time I have embossed the image with clear embossing powder and I think this works well with the bolder colouring you get with the pens. I ran the 3 pieces of card thru' the bigshot with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, one little bit of ribbon and my 2 embellishments are the flowers and brads (DH asked if a card could be made without the flowers 'for a change' clearly the answer to that, at the moment is no!)

Penny Black Saturday #33 & One Stop Craft #13

Over on this weeks PBS challenge it's 'Frame It'. I used my circle nesties to create a frame round the image and raised it with 3D foam. Haven't used the copics for this one (love to doodle is soo right - PBS images want to be water coloured!)

One Stop Craft challenge is 'Charmed' and I have used a little heart charm that has 3 tiny daisies in the middle to match the daisies in the image.

Secret Crafter # 15 and Cupcake # 23

A brilliant sketch to follow on this weeks Cupcake challenge and on Secret Crafter the challenge is 'Hearts'.

Don't really have much more to say on this one, and besides, I did go to the crafty shop today after work, and I did buy more Copics pens, and I am now sooooooo skint and dashing off to play with my new pens..........tralalalala.

Back to using the watercolour pencils for this one. Not that I don't like my new copics pens it's just that I only have five and the colours didn't suit this one. I feel a trip to the copic shop coming on cos I deserve (and need) more of them pens!

Sugar Bowl # 2

Here is my card for this weeks Sugar Bowl challenge. The challenges is 'Threes'....three different papers and three different embellishments. I have used three papers from the same range by We are Memory Keepers. The papers have great names - fiddle faddle, silly sally and wishy washy. I think I have the three embelishments well covered - flowers, gems, ribbon and pearls.

This card has also two firsts -

I treated myself to a few copics pens (thanks to 'love to doodle' for some great advice) and this is the first image I have coloured with them. What do you think?

I downloaded Picasa 3 (free) to edit the photograph (I normally just bung them on regardless). It has sharpened the image and has made the colour more true. It also crops to a better size.

I have to say I am feeling quite pleased with myself!

Cute Card Thursday #42 & One Stop Craft #11

The challenge on Cute Card Thursday is to use something new that you got over the holidays. So on this card I have used paper from the Dill Blossom Paper Stack by SEI that I bought in Craftology just after Christmas.

The challenge on One Stop Craft is 'Take a Punch'. I have used my large retro daisy punch and also meant to use a corner punch but was too exuberant and stuck down the embossed card before I punched it.

I pinched the little curly stips of card on the flowers idea from Bev (all the things I love - link on side bar). Go have a peak, she is an inspiration to me and I'm sure many others.

So there we have it. I hope the ladies don't mind my four challenges with one card, but these days there are so many and I want to do them all (with little success, I may add).

Sketch and Stash # 1

Another new challenge. At least this one is every 2 weeks so that should give me time to come up for air!

For this challenge you should use something new (or nearly new or hardly ever used) along with the sketch.

So I have used another of my new Cuddly Buddly stamps that hubby bought for my birthday.

Penny Black Saturday # 31 Pink & Brown

Pink and brown is this weeks theme over on PBS, so I have used one of my favourite Penny Black stamps. The papers are from the Cosmopolitan paper pad by Makingmemories. The little flowers were a freebie from a mag.

Friday Sketchers #34

Eyelets! I almost ignored this one 'cos of the eyelets.

I have a complete eyelet set in a lovely tin and an assortment of eyelets. Can I get the hang of them? Well it would now seem so, after a few dodgy attempts in the past these four went on fairly evenly and have even stayed on when I threaded the ribbon thru'.

My eyeletphobia is now a thing of the past.

Lili of the Valley #13 Anything Goes

Anything Goes for this one so I have kept it fairly simple. A couple of circles with my nesties, some swiss dots embossing , little freebie flowers from a mag and a gorgeous die cut LOTV fairy - job done.

Fab new challange blog, how am I ever going to keep up - will just have to be a bit selective in choosing the ones I enter.

One Stop Craft - Shelley's Sketch

This was a great sketch to follow with a little bit extra......to include buttons or brads. Now this would normally send me into a 'hunt the perfect button' frenzy. But the brad box was on top of the button box (thank goodness for chinese takeaways) and when I spotted these little brads they seemed like the perfect match for the papers.

Forever Friends - Your Favourite Colour

Mmmm, my favourite colour?

I guess most of the time I'm a pink girl. But then I see a great colour on some papers or whatever and then that becomes a fave for a while. So I was playing with my buttons (as you do) and found the one on this card. So for today I'm loving citrusy (if such a word exists) greens and lemons.

Ooh La La Challenge - Small is Beautiful

This challenge caught my eye this week. I have never been tempted into the world of small.....ATCs and the like. But a 4x4 card seemed interesting. So here it is. Minimal or what!
