Sketch and Stash challenge 15

Here is my card for this fortnights Sketch and Stash challenge, which is a great sketch to follow. One of my favourite sketches to do so far, so thanks ladies!
My new stash is a daisy die that I recently bought in a sale. The image is by Digi Stamp Boutique and the papers are by Doodlebug.

The inside has been done too, albeit simply!

Copic Colour and a Dare!

This weeks colours on Copic Colour challenge are R35, YG63 and YR04 which translates to coral, pea green and chrome orange. I have used the closest I have to two of those colours for the flower and I used grey for the rest of the image.

It also follows the fab sketch on Dare U2 Digi Stamp. The digi image I used is from Pink Petticoat.
A while back I thought I might start to do the insides, well here is my first tentative step!

Simon says Summer Fruits

What could be more summery than strawberries. This gorgeous paper is by Doodlebug, who have some fab new papers out at the mo'. The image is from the Digi Stamp Boutique, isn't it adorable! I have again used my Copics to colour.

Colour Create - Blue and White.

Back to stamping for this one. The stamp is by WhipperSnapper and I have coloured him with Copics. The papers are by Doodlebug and the sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly.

Copic Colour

The second card from yesterday is another great sketch and again the image is from Pink Petticoat. I have coloured with Copics and the paper is by Doodlebug. The sketch had to include a 'flourish'. I didn't really want to cover up too much of the cute paper so I made my flourish by using an acetate star, cut by the bigshot, a little bit of ribbon tied on to a metal swirly and topped off with a button.

Truly Scrumptious

This is the first of four cards I did yesterday afternoon to while away a rainy Bank Holiday. There was a million other things I should have done not least of all having a clear out for a car boot sale this Sunday morning. Never mind this was better fun by a mile.

So, a great sketch to follow with the added challenge of black, white and one other colour. I have used an image from Pink Petticoat that fits the black and white theme perfectly. My other colour is pink.

Something fishy for Papertake

Just a quick post this morning as I want to make the most of todays Bank Holiday (Glasgow Fair) cos I have the day to myself to play!

So here is my card following the great sketch on Papertake Challenge. This weeks sponser is Pink Petticoat and I hope I am lucky because I sooo love those cutey images!

The paper is by Doodlebug and the image is, of course, by Pink Petticoat.

Copic Colour and Friday Sketchers

Over on Friday Sketchers there is a great sketch to follow, so I have used it to make this card using the colours for the Copic Colour challenge - YG03, B45 and Y28 although I think I may be a couple of shades out - but they don't mind!

The paper is Blueberry Hill by Papermania and those little buttons are actually chipboard. They were a bit of a bargain, a packet of 24 of different shapes and sizes that I think will be quite useful.

Just when I was about to go outside to take a picture of the card the hailstones started, it was blue skies this morning, talk about four seasons in one day! Well that's the west of Scotland for you. Anyhoo, that means it was taken on the window ledge to catch at least some of the light! My neighbours must wonder sometimes.

Papertake, CCT and Dare U2 digi

Another one that combines challenges, it is almost a challenge in itself to see how many you can enter in one week!

Papertake - 'My Favourite Things'. It was hard to pick out a favourite thing but I s'pose given that I am using so many digi images at the moment it had to be that. So my favourite thing of the moment is digi images and this one is from Pink Petticoat.

Cute Card Thursday - 'Thank You Miss' . I have stretched this a bit 'cos I don't have a teacher to thank! This card was passed on last night to our hostess at our 'Come Dine with Me'. This came about a couple of months ago at a night out with friends and now we take it in turns to host a monthly dinner party. Our turn was last month and the scores are safely tucked away in a sealed envelope. Last night we had a delicious meal in Strathaven (thanks, Ev).

Dare U2 Digi - 'Pink, Black and White'. Not much to say here except it ticks those boxes!

Next Level and Creative Card Crew

Ribbons and buttons are the order of the day on these two challenges. So, once again out came the button box (who am I kidding, it's permanently out!). I thought at first I might go to town with the ribbon theme but it just didn't work out that way.

I have coloured the Sugar Nellie stamp with Copics - watched a great tutorial on youtube last night and I think it has upped my colouring skills a little!

The paper is by Doodlebug and I ran the background card thru' the bigshot with the swiss dots embossing folder.

Cute Card Thursday and Dare U2 Digi Stamp

A stitch in time is the challenge on CCT this week so I have gone a bit mad with the faux stitching on this one. Over on Dare U2 Digi it is embossing, so I have used one of my bigshot folders.

The image is, again, by pink petticoat coloured with copics. I was going to do the inside of this one but it was getting late and I just couldn't be bothered. Maybe next time.

Charisma and Friday Sketchers

Another great sketch to follow on Friday Sketchers and the challenge on Charisma is 'buttons'. Well, I love my buttons so that was hard to resist!

I have used another image from pink petticoat and the papers are by Doodlebug. I have had the buittons for ages but this seemed the perfect time to use them.

All the while I was making this card I was singing edelweiss in my head over and over and over. Can you imagine how annoying that was!

Monday 6 July 2009

Penny Black, One Stop, ABC & Papertake.

Phew, a quadrupler! I hope all our friends from the 'other side' had a great 4th July. Here is my card that fits four patriotic challenges and one sketch challenge.

Penny Black........Red, White and Blue.
One Stop.........Stars and Stripes.
ABC........U for United States.
and
Papertake......a fab sketch.

I actually felt quite at home with this one as we have just recently bought all 8 seasons of the West Wing. We have just finished season 3 and I am so hoping that President Bartlet wins a second term as he is my favourite TV president of all time (didn't think anyone could better the Pres in 24, but he does).

The Next Level Issue 5

I love this new blog, week after week it has loads of info and inspiration. This week challenge is a great sketch. Oh, and there's always great prizes too! So if you haven't had a nosey go now, you will not be disappointed.

I have used another image from Pink Petticoat, it seems I just can't get enough of these at the moment. I coloured the image with Copics (would love to get my mits on a copic blender pen but can't find one in stock - has anyone come across one? Let me know where I can get one of these elusive pens and I will be eternally grateful......doesn't take much to make us crafty ladies happy - does it!)

Whew, it's awffy warm in these parts just now and we're simply not used to it. I had my fan at work on full blast all day today felt like I was in an eighties pop video!
