My First Planner

Hello. A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I had a plan that would (hopefully) make me a more organised crafter and blogger. Well here it is - my Arc planner! And I love it already. But then I think loving all kinds of stationery goes along with loving paper! I was nearly tempted into ordering one of those fancy personalised American ones but as this is my first experience of a planner I drew the line at taking out a second mortgage.

So above is the front cover and I have just left it the way it came. You then choose what you want for your pages, what type of dividers, task lists etc. Everything just pops onto the black disks - very nifty!

I used up some old stickers to decorate the first divider, not very exciting but I'm new to this and might add more or change it around as the year progresses.

I chose to make the first section a week to view with an extra little to-do list in the middle of every week, I have listed that weeks planned projects there. The clear ruler bookmark easily pops off to move to the next week. I added a little calendar peel off sticker.

This section is the main to-do list.

At the back there is a clear zipped pocket to keep all the pretty things that will make your planner more exciting!

And finally, these are the stamps I will use on the planner. The calendar stamp set was free with a magazine yonks ago. The other set is by Waffle Flower.

I will most likely spend more time decorating and updating my planner than actually doing stuff. But, heyho, that's all part of the fun.

Organisation, New Stash and Magazine Article!

Hello. I subscribe to Simon Says Stamp monthly card kit. I love it, you get an exclusive stamp set, papers, card and co-ordinating extras. But, I am ashamed to say, each month I open my box, gaze lovingly at the stamps, stroke the papers and hardly ever make a card using these gorgeous goodies. Well, all that is about to change! See below....

I got these clear plastic zipper bags! The kits are now right there within arms reach complete with the inspiration sheet that comes with the kit. No more excuses!

OK, OK, I know, I know. I have all that Simon Says Stamp stuff to use before I should even think about more new stuff. But I am weak, and these are totally cool, and I had some Christmas money to spend, and what's a girl to do!

And finally, this month's Simply Cards and Papercraft is on the shelves now. My article this month is all about using a sketch. So you know the score. Wherever you are, whatever supermarket or newsagent you are in - move them to the front!!

Pick a Fave
(any previous Papertake Challenges)

a $25 gift voucher.

For my card I used a cute little image from the Love-Bots set over at The DigiStamp Boutique.
And, guess what, there is a massive 40% off all images in the Boutique until 31st December.
So why not give yourself a little extra Christmas treat!

Rightyho then, I'll be back in a few days to share (what I hope) will make me a more organised crafter and blogger in the new year!

you warm my heart

Hello. I'm a bit late again with Tuesday's Papertake Weekly Challenge card. It's lucky we have a very understanding boss at Papertake!

The challenge this week is...

Last Christmas … Card of The Year

This is our last Christmas themed challenge of 2014 and the last chance for you to show off a Christmas card or project. Anything goes as long as it’s festive.

We have a very generous prize from our sponsor -

(£10 to spend in their gorgeous shop)

For my card I used goodies from my monthly Simon Says Stamp card kit. With the kit you get an inspiration sheet. Great for those times when Mr Mojo is nowhere to be found and you can simply case one of the cards. And that's exactly what I did!

Thank You, Thank You and Thank You!

Hello. Call me old fashioned but I do love when a little Thank You card pops through the letter box.
And don't these super cute little characters say a Christmas Thank You perfectly!
They are brand new over at The DigiStamp Boutique.
And on special offer at the mo'!

hello friend

It's time for another Papertake Weekly Challenge.
And this week it's...

Paper Play
(everything on your card should be made from paper!)

We have a very generous prize from our sponsor -

(a super cute stamp set)

For my card I used a Penny Black stamp called 'friendly surprise'. I stamped straight onto my card base and coloured with watercolour pencils. It's fine to do this as long as you don't use too much water!
The leaves and bird house are die cut and I punched out the little daisies.

a Jolly Hello

Hello. At this time of year I find my poor blog gets a little neglected. I guess everyone is the same. On the up side the Christmas clean - done, the tree and other little bits and bobs of decorations - done and presents - done (but not yet wrapped). So, today I figured that as I'm pretty organised I could spend a little time in the crafty room and came up with this quick and easy card.

The little Robin is this month's freebie from The DigiStamp Boutique and can be found here. All of the new releases for December are here.

Righty ho, off now to watch Strictly!
