something a bit different....

....felt brooches. Now this is my first attempt so be gentle! But I have to say, really easy and fun to do.

A bundle of gorgeous wool felt in every colour imagineable arrived in the crafty room the other day. Along with some even more gorgeous ribbon, seam binding and buttons, but more of that later! How lucky am I to be a Sew Sweet Sweetie?

Anyway, the flower shapes were cut with my bigshot and all layers are sewn together through the middle. There is a proper brooch pin attached to the back. If you fancy having a go all the supplies you need can be found here. And for more inspiration, well, that can be found here.

I am entering my brooches into these challenges....

Allsorts...free and easy

Simon Says...a stitch in time

A Spoonful of Sugar....sewing

Papertake....anything goes
