Penny Black Saturday...Red, White and Blue

Happy Saturday everyone.

On the 4th of July 1776 America declared independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. In honour of this and to mark their special day the Penny Black Saturday Challenge is giving a nod to our American cousins. This week the challenge is.....

Red, White and Blue

We have 4, yep, that's right, 4 prizes up for grabs this week,
well yankee doodle my dandy!

A Penny Black stamp of your choice from our regular sponsor
Stampers Supermarket.

And, these 3 beauties....

Betsy Bluebell clear stamp set.

Easy Rider

Sweet Thing

....from our brand new sponsor Penny Black.

Fab or what!

So, for my card I used the PB stamp 'birthday balloons' coloured with inktense water colour pencils. The papers are by Doodlebug. This is the first time I have tried this cutting technique. I'm sure it has an 'official' crafty name but I don't know what that might be. Anyway, you cut round part of the image and use a nestie to cut the remainder. Quite effective, huh?

If you want to look like the cat that got the cream.....

....then spangle your banner and join in the fun!
