a good day

Hello. I was desperate to get my crafty fingers on these new Waffle Flower stamps when they were released a couple of weeks ago. And now I have finally had time to break them open and have a play. I opened the 'happy day' set first and came up with this clean and simple card. I coloured all the images using ZIG real brush markers.

A little bit of memory keeping!

The other week my haul from Paper, Pen and Plan arrived. I got some papers, stickers, washi and a stamp from the Domestic Bliss collection by Simple Stories. And here's what I did with some of it....

I had already made a start on some pages in this folder but hadn't yet decorated the cover. So, after a quick nosy on Pinterest for some inspiration, this is what I came up with. I'm pretty pleased with it!

On the inside cover I made a 'pocket' to keep the pictures that have still to go in the book. I print the pictures on my little Polaroid Zip printer. It prints on peel off sticky-backed photo paper. Ideal for this type of album.

I cut some of the patterned paper to fit the plastic pockets, stuck down the pictures and then decorated with stickers. The paper is double sided. Here is the other side of the page above.....

I have a huge amount of pictures to catch up on, but I'll get there. Especially when you can use fun Simple Stories products like these!

If I've put you in the notion to get your pictures organised I've got a discount code for Paper, Pen and Plan. Just enter LIZ10 at the checkout for 10% off. They've got binders, pockets pages and loads of gorgeousness to put in them!

spring is here

Hello. It's not quite here, but I hope it's not far away! Yep, I'm still using my ZIG real brush pens to colour. This time a wood mounted older Penny Black called 'what a spring'. The background is a die by L'il Inker.

So I was at Ikea the other day. They have a small kiddies craft section and I picked up this set of brushes for £2. I know you can find sets cheaper than that in all sorts of pound shops etc but these ones are really good!

bee happy - coffee (or in my case tea) and cards with Deb and Celeste

Hello. I'm so excited about my blog post today. Let me explain!
A while back I met a lovely lady called Debra through a snail mail facebook group called Love Notes (folks swap postcards - but that's a whole other story).
Debs and I started to exchange happy mail every few months and have become firm online friends. Debs and her friend Celeste do a monthly blog collaboration called Coffee and Cards and I'm thrilled to be joining them this month.

We used this mood board as inspiration for our cards -

For my card I stamped, coloured and fussy cut my 'bee costume' Penny Black stamp. I used ZIG real brush pens to colour. I die cut the daisies, sun and clouds. The sentiment is stamped and then cut unevenly ( I used to do that a lot with sentiments so it's a bit of a blast from the past).

Now, as part of the blog post,  Debs and Celeste always share which fancy coffee they are drinking. I do like coffee but I'm really just a plain latte girl! I thought that might be a little bit boring so I'm having a 'Mojitea' in my favourite 'button' mug. It says it's a refreshing blend of green tea, peppermint and lime. To be honest the jury is still out - where's my Scottish Blend?

I'd love it if you popped on over and said hi to Debs and Celeste
They will have gorgeous cards to share and, I'm sure, some yummy sounding coffee!

a happy hello

Hello. I've had this Mama Elephant stamp set for quite a wee while and this is the first time I've inked them up. Although I knew I loved these cute critters I really couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with them! The set is called 'page huggers' and I think you are supposed to make bookmarks or paperclips etc. Anyway, today I seemed to be a little inspired and coloured them up.

I used my ZIG real brush pens to colour and some pattern paper snippets for the background.

hoot

Hello. A quick and easy card to share today. The owls and sentiment are from 'I'm Owl Yours' and the branch is from 'Tweet on You' both by My Favourite Things. I did a loose bit of watercolouring with my ZIG pens. I fussycut the owls and popped them up on some foam pads - job done!

sending hugs

Hello. It's been ages since I coloured up a Teddy Bo. But when I noticed there were some new ones I couldn't resist. Especially since Bo has a little pup!

I used my Prismacolour pencils and fussycut Bo. The leaves and fence are die cut and the flowers and butterfiles are punches.

March Sweet Treat Box from paper, pen and plan (the owl one)

Hello. I'm back again with my monthly planner post. The theme of the March Sweet Treat Box from Paper, Pen and Plan is Owls. I'm still using my Filofax Geometric but I think for April I will switch to my pink KikkiK (but that will be for next months post).

Here are the insert pages in action. The owl clips and pen were all included in the box. And, as the title suggests, you also get a 'sweet treat' in the box. This time a couple of Dime bars - yum!

I coloured the dashboard with my Copic pens and layered it onto some pink cardstock (this hides the bleed through from the Copic pens). As well as everything in the box subscribers get access to planner printables - inserts, notepaper and patterned paper. If you want to see the contents of the entire box I did a little unboxing video which you can see here.

Want to win some Paper, Pen and Plan goodies? Well you can! Enter the challenge over on the Facebook page. All the information is here.

And here is a hint at the theme of the April box - can't wait! So, if you want to know more about how the boxes work, order a one off box or subscribe to a monthly box simply click here

The girls at Paper, Pen and Plan also sell loads of cute planner bits and bobs (in fact I know a batch of gorgeous washi tape has just been added) over in the Etsy store here

thank you

Hello. I have a sweet little thank you card to share today. I used stamps and dies from Lil'inker Designs called 'sweet celebration'. The flowers were stamped using Versamagic chalk inks and cut out using the co-ordinating dies.
The sentiment is from the 'label maker sentiments' set by My Favourite Things.

I am entering two challenges -

Creative Inspirations - petals and pearls
Cute Card Thursday - florals

where the heart is

Hello. Who lives in a house like this? Wish it was me, how cool would that be? The stamp is from the Wonky Tonk Town collection by Which Craft and it's called 'home is where the heart is'.

I coloured using my ZIG pens (I hope they don't ever run out!). The background die is from the Sue Wilson Australian Collection - background.

tweet-heart

Hello. I broke open my new stamp set! It's 'purr-fect friends' by My Favourite Things. The die is new as well, 'circle vine' by Kaisercraft. This is the first Kaisercraft die in my collection - didn't even know they produced dies! I came across it in my local crafty shop and it was the last one so I had to have it!

I used those ZIG pens to colour again!

hello friend

Hello. I'm back using my Penny Black stamps. This one is from a transparent set called 'eat cake'. And yep, you guessed, the ZIG real brush pens were out again!

I am entering my card into the challenge at Penny Black and More - your favourite stamp.
