you are so...sweet

Yesterday I reached for my crafty tweezers, not there! Nowhere to be found. Not even in the bin, which is where I find most things that go missing!

Today I opened the crafty cupboard. Disaster, obviously one too many Penny Black stamps on the middle shelf and it could hold on no longer!

Tomorrow, who knows? As long as nothing happens to my Big Shot...or my pens...or my papers...

Anyhoo, tonights card. The other day I made my design team card for next weeks Penny Black challenge. And I have to say I was so pleased with how it turned out I have made this one very much along the same lines. The stamp is Sugar Sweet Dreams by Penny Black and the papers were a freebie with a magazine.

I am entering my card into this weeks Cupcake Challenge 'cooking up a storm'.

teddy bo gift bag

Teddy Bo is trying to figure out if that's real candy he can see! Hasn't he turned this little plain gift bag into something totally cute?

The papers are 'lime twist' by MME and I have used prisma pencils to colour.

My little creation has been made for the Teddy Bo challenge...anything but a card.

sew sweet

Popping on another of my "experimental" cards!

Still trying to get to grips with the old distress inks and what you can do with them. All the stamps are Hero Arts. The background was stamped and embossed with 'happy definition' and then I inked up and water misted 'silhoutte flower' and stamped over the background. I then stamped 'special moments' and coloured with distress inks. A little bit of twine to finish.

I am entering my creation into the photo inspiration Stampalot Challenge, just under the wire!

The eagle eyed among you will have noticed a new badge on my side bar. Yes, I am a Sew Sweet Sweetie. How cool is that? They stock the most gorgeous collection of ribbon, twine, wool felt and my personal favourite....buttons and so much more! The Sew Sweet shop can be found here and for loads of inspiration the blog is here. Enjoy!

just married

How cute are these little wedding doodles from the DigiStamp Boutique? Modern and trendy, I rustled up this little card in next to no time!

The card base is a sheet of kraft card cut in half and folded over. I coloured the image with promarkers and used up two bits of paper from my 'bits' box. Added some ricrac to finish off.

Don't forget the July give-away and the June competition are still open over on the Boutique blog.

And, woohoo, I won top three on the TeddyBo challenge for my shaped card, thank you so much, glad you liked my card.

And, I received this good blogger award from the lovely Claire, thanks a lot.

Think I might put on an extra lottery ticket this week!

on your birthday

The big day has arrived. Yes, tomorrow is new kitchen day! I now have plates, bowls, pots, glasses, the contents of the 'messy drawer' etc etc in every nook and cranny. I plan to be holed up in the crafty room, music on with a four pack of Greggs strawberry tarts. Wish me luck!

So, my creation tonight features my new obsession, TeddyBo images, although this cutie is a TeddyBea! I coloured with prismapencils and added some stickles to her bubbles. I have had to get the light box back out as it would appear we are in the middle of monsoon season here in the West of Scotland. If it brightens up tomorrow I may re-do this picture.

I am entering the challenges at....

Paper Collage Sampler

A few weeks back I made this, and now I have made a slightly smaller version. The frame has been painted with distress paint and the squares have been filled with butterflies, hearts and flowers. It's for sale in my newly opened Folksy shop!

Thanks for all the lovely comments on my blogoversary, you guys are the best. Tonight I need to get the Christmas crafty stuff out of the depths of the crafty cupboard and work on my latest magazine commission. I don't usually have anything to do with snowflakes and glitter until at least October!

It's my blogoversary!

And I wanted to make a card using one of Sally-Anns gorgeous digi doodles. Why? Well, Sally-Ann was the very first person who asked me to join a design team. I can still remember how excited I was. Someone thought my cards were good enough to showcase their images.

Since then I have made many blogging friends, joined other design teams, guested on teams and the biggest thrill of all be published in Papercraft Essential magazine (and soon to be Simply Cards and Papercraft but more of that later). The support and encouragement you receive in blogland is amazing. So a big thank you to everyone who visits, leaves a comment and decides to follow.

Anyway, I'm welling up now so I had better move on and tell you about this little creation. It's for the latest colour challenge on the Ribbon Girl blog 'pink and cream'. The image is Olivia from the DigiStamp Boutique coloured with Prismapencils. The paper is by Cosmo Cricket and the little bow is cream seam binding and twine from the Ribbon Girl.

three today

Good morning Penny Black fans.
It's a very special day at the Penny Black Challenge this week.
We are three years old!

So to celebrate we are having a birthday hop with loads of prizes from all our regular sponsors. But first I must tell you that this weeks challenge is....

Pesky Creatures

Cats, mices, hedgies, doggies or in my case a turtle! Take your pick.

So when you have made your card you enter it in the normal way. But then to be in with a chance to win one of the prizes you will need to hop around the DT members blogs and leave a comment on each one. Only the Penny Black boss Kath knows where the prizes are hidden and she is keeping it a very closely guarded secret!

It doesn't matter what order you complete the blog hop. There is a list of all the DT members who are taking part on the Penny Black Challenge blog. Along with details of all the fabby prizes we have.

And guess what? My own little blog is three tomorrow. And one of the first challenges I entered was the Penny Black Challenge! You can see my entry here. It's kinda weird looking back at your older cards!

hello....

....just popping on a quick make in case you think the wardrobe has fallen on top of me! Crafting and blogging has taken a bit of a back seat. Preparing for new kitchen which at last is to be fitted at the beginning of next week and an elderly mother who decides to get the painters in!

Normal service should, hopefully, return soon.

with love

Tonight's card features the adorable Wallace from the DigiStamp Boutique. Don't you just know he is the sort of dog who would just lick you to death!

Wallace is on special offer just now and you can see him in his various poses here. And don't forget that you can enter the customer competition here and enter the July give-away here.

I am entering my card into this weeks Stamp Something punched challenge.
