Twit Twoo, It's a Hoot!

Even if I say so myself I am quite pleased with this one! It fits three challenges -
  • Willow Sketchie , a great sketch to follow and one that I am sure I will use again.
  • ABC , 'Anything Goes' with an optional extra of animals.
  • Pollycraft , 'Favourite Things' if you don't know by now that my favourite things on a card are buttons then where have you been?

The cute image is by Willow Designs , this one came pre-coloured but I don't count that as cheating simply helping me along my merry way.

Little Sophie

My second card from Sunday mornings crafty time fits three challenges........
  • Copic Colour use cardinal, blue/green and olive (or as close as you can).
  • Dare U2 Digi has a colour challenge of blue, green, white or cream.
  • Secret Crafter where the challenge is 'fancy corners'.

I have used little Sophie a downloaded image from the Digi Stamp Boutique.

Well, that's Monday over, only four days to go! We are taking ourselves off to London for the first few days of the holiday. Does anyone know where I can feed my habit and buy some stash?

A Little Birdie

Q. Where do birds invest their money?
A. The stork market!

Sunday morning and I thought I would have a go at the sketch on this weeks Papertake challenge. I used a digi download from Pink Petticoat and a little bit of colouring with my Copics.

Only one more week at work and then two whole weeks off, can't wait!

Seven Interesting Facts

No card from me today 'cos last night a button got stuck where a button shouldn't oughta go! Tried to take it off but it was gripping on for dear life and determined to take the paper with it.
So instead I have seven interesting facts to share with you about me and this is how it works....

1. Thank the person who nominated you for this award.
2. Copy the logo and place it on your blog.
3. Link the person who nominated you for this award.
4. Name seven things about yourself that people might find interesting.
5. Nominate seven Kreativ Bloggers.
6. Post links to the seven blogs you nominate.
7. Leave comments on all seven blogs letting them know you nominated them.

So, I am thanking Clare for this award which I have placed in my sidebar and here are seven interesting things about me.........

1. I have bunions.
2. I can sing the lyrics to all of Gilbert O'Sullivans songs.
3. I hate butter.
4. I am a former Butlins table tennis champion.
5. My motto is spend, spend spend.
6. I love Cadburys Twirls.
7. My previous hobbies include guitar lessons, horseriding and car maintenance (didn't stick with any of them for very long).

I am passing this award on to Alison and me old mate Bumbles.

I am off now to salvage what I can from last night. Hmph!

Bugs'n'Kisses

Mmm, struggled a bit with this sketch, darn those three little rectangles! Finally came up with this looped ribbon combo, not sure if it works but it is done now. Also not sure of the doodles on this one, I normally quite like the look of hand drawn lines but I think I've done these just a bit too wonky for for my liking. Anyhoo maybe the cute image redeems it!

In spite of it's shortcomings it's being entered into Sketch Saturday and Secret Crafter.

The paper is by Doodlebug and the image from Pink Petticoat.

Charmed, I'm Sure

Q. Who was the most powerful cat in China?
A. Chairman Miaow!

Beth has given us a great sketch to follow over on Penny Black Saturday. If you haven't already checked out Beths blog you should go now, you are sure to be inspired.

This also fits the charm challenge on Stamp Something.

I stamped the Penny Black image 'cat bath' on to water colour paper and coloured with inktense water colour pencils and a water brush. The paper is 'flower patch' by makingmemories.

Somethin' Fishy

There's something fishy going on at Creative Card Crew challenge this week 'cos the theme is 'Under the Sea'. The minute I saw that I knew I would be using up another bit of my fishy Doodlebug paper, which I love and hope I can get more - I'm gonna have to start buying two of everything - does anybody do that already? The image that goes perfectly with this is from Pink Petticoat.

This also follows the sketch on Friday Sketchers. This was a tricky one, what with that part circle, took me back to my geometry class, who would have thought those hours spent learning how to use a protractor would finally be put to good use!

Sunday Morning

I love Sunday mornings. It is the most time I have to myself to play. So this mornings card fits three challenges.

On Copic Colour the challenge is to use yellow, ice blue and almond pink. I have used two of the three, missing out the pink.

On Pollycraft and on Simon Says it is buttons and bows. Well, you ought to know by now that the merest hint of using a button and I'm in!

The paper is Doodlebug and the sweet image is from Digi Stamp Boutique.

So that's it for today 'cos I am off now to meet my friend in Glasgow for a good natter over a latte and then it's out with DH for a bite to eat and a film. Sundays, bliss.

Entry for Challenge # 1

Here is my entry for BFBs first challenge. I have used Daisy and coloured her with copics. See the post below for details of this fab challenge!

Challenge # 1

OK - here's the deal. I have been blogging for over a year and I think that the standard of my card design has improved a lot. So I am rather surprised that I have not won a challenge for ages. And why have I not been invited to join a design team? I am sure you all agree that this is a disappointing state of affairs and that it can't continue. To fix this situation I am setting a challenge for myself (guess who is going to win - yep that's right, me).

I have also hand-picked the design team (guess who - yep that's right, me, myself and I).

I have also picked a prize and guess who is buying it (no not me - hubby).

Here is the challenge - A Sketch to Follow (designed by me).

And here are the efforts of the design team. I know, I know - they are marvellous and truly an inspiration for my challenge entry which will be posted later. Now I don't want to be selfish and so anyone can enter. But we all know there can only be one winner (winks).
