You can always tell when my darling hubby is away, cos when he's away I get to play! So here is my third card from last nights efforts. Ahh, last night, full control of the remote (on QVC craft day, of course), glass of red, creme egg, three cards made and a long bubble bath, bliss(....I miss him really). This is for two challenges....Cute Daisy May....Flowers.Sunday Sketch and Stamp....Sketch.I have used my Liddie image from the Lil Poppets range at the DigiStamp Boutique. I used Copics to colour and the papers are from a Daisy and Dandelion pad.
My second card tonight is for two challenges...Penny Black Saturday...Pink, Green and Yellow.Pink Elephant....Sketch.I'm not too sure about those big flowers but they are well and truly stuck down now! I sat them on I took them off, I sat them on again....you get the picture. My creative advisor (DH) is away to London on business until later tonight, but I can hear him say it now ' you know those big flowers are a mistake, don't you?'
I am happily crafting away my evenings using lots of bright sunny colours for Spring and Easter cards and it is a blizzard outside. It hasn't stopped all day and apparently is with us until the weekend!
Anyways, here is my card for this weeks Willow Sketchie, I'm at the coo's tail as usual and hoping that I can get this in just under the wire.
I have used the Willow image I won in the challenge a couple of weeks back, it is pre-coloured so nice and easy does it for this one.
.....that's what the little heart charm says on today's card. Now I love my Copics but these Lili of the Valley stamps just cry out to be water coloured (well, that's what I think anyway). So, on a restful sunday morning I was happy to oblige.
This fits 2 challenges...
Cute Card Thursday....metal mania.
Simon Says....3 embellies, 2 papers, 1 image.
My second card tonight features Isabella Fairy Princess, perfect for a little girls birthday don't you think? You can find her here at the DigiStamp Boutique.
This is for two challenges...
Digital Tuesday...all things girly.
I Love Digi...think pink. This is a brand new challenge blog so if you love your digis give it a go!
The papers are by Doodlebug and I have used copics to colour.
It's Friday, yay!
Spring is just around the corner (we hope) and I for one can't wait. The challenge blogs have also turned to thoughts of spring and so this fits three...
A Spoon Full of Sugar....spring is in the air.
Papertake....check this out.
Stamp Something....touch of spring.
The image is Easter Chick from the DigiStamp Boutique and if you think he is as cute as I do then you can find him here. I coloured with copics and the papers are by Doodlebug.
Now let me think? What goodies are in Connie's bags? My guess is some smellies from Molton Brown, a box of Guylian chocolate seashells and a good bottle of red! What d'ya think?
Connie is available now from the DigiStamp Boutique and would be perfect for Mothers Day. I used Copics to colour and the paper is Sweet Nothings by Papermania. The sentiment stamp is from one of those little 99p sets 'Doodle me Pink'.
I am entering this into 2 challenges...
Sketch and Stash...my image is new and my papers had been neglected.
Dare U2 Digi...punches. I used my MS daisy punch.
What's that coming over the hill? Is it a monster? Is it a monster?
No! It's Freddie and Dino. Perfect for the little men in your life. Freddie and Dino are from the DigiStamp Boutique and coloured with Copics. The papers are Archaic by Basic Grey (don't they go perfectly?) and buttons and cord finish the whole thing off.
I am entering this card into Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
Here is my third card to share with you today. I have to say I am pleased with this one. But if you start off with such a cute image as Isabella then you are half way there!
The papers are Forever Friends Pink Parfait by Docrafts. I embossed the top half of white card with my daisy CB folder. I inked all round the edges with baby blue ink and stitched. Isabella from the DigiStamp Boutique has been coloured with copics and a ribbon, flowers and buttons finish the card nicely.
This fits four challenges....
Truly Scrumptious...thanks for a fabby sketch.
Crafty Catz...Buttons and Bows.
Allsorts...321...3 papers, 2 buttons and 1 ribbon.
C.R.A.F.T Challenge...Digi Colouring.
This one is for sis-in-law number 2 (they both have birthdays within one week of each other). She loves and collects those little cherished teddies so this Lili of the Valley stamp fits perfectly. Once again I have used watercolours and to finish off the bear theme I attached a cute bear charm. The other charm behind it says 'made with love'.
I am entering this card into the PaperPlay challenge which this week is 'Birthday for Someone Special'.
You may recall the other week I got some new Lili of the Valley stamps. Well, here is the first of a couple of cards I have made using them. This one has already been given to it's recipient, my sister-in-law. I water-coloured the image and the papers are My Minds Eye.
It follows the super sketch over on Just Christmas and Birthday cards, although I have switched things round and done things back to front a bit.
Here we have tonights second card and it fits a more modest two challenges...
Sketch Saturday....nice straightforward sketch that works really well.
Digital Tuesday....It's all about the Animals.
I have used the exceptionally cute Suzie and Jake from the DigiStamp Boutique and coloured them both with Copics. How smug does that cat look?
Meet the new babe in town. Her name is Ellie and she can be found here at the DigiStamp Boutique, isn't she adorable?
I love gingham but DH says it's 'twee'. How wrong is he? I have stitched a bit again and used glossy accents on the bubbles.
This follows the excellent sketch over on Sketch and Stash, my new element is Ellie.
I wanted to try something a bit different from my usual style and so I trawled blogland and saw this and was totally inspired (although my effort is definitely second best). I am quite pleased with how it turned out and hope to develop this style more in the coming weeks.
I originally made this card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is 'Special Someone'. I may have left it a little late, but maybe I can just get in under the wire.
But it also fits 4 other challenges all with a 'love' theme....
Papertake
Charisma
Delightful Sketches
Paperplay
Here is my card for my design team duties with Crafty Calendar Challenge. This month's challenge is 'Love or Friendship' with an optional extra of hearts.
We had a brilliant response to January's challenge and we hope that you can join in again this month.
For my card I used My Mind's Eye papers and one of my favourite Penny Black stamps.
Oh my, two posts in one night. It's been a while since I pulled that off!
For this creation I used 'Kissing Birds' from the DigiStamp Boutique and coloured with Copics. The little glittery hearts and dots are from Accessorize. Sometimes you can pick up little handy packets of small stickers in there....if you can take your eyes off the gorgeous bags.
So there we have it, two posts, two birds and two challenges...
Crafty Catz....brilliant sketch.
Pollycraft....things with wings.
Roll on Easter and Spring. It's snowing here again and I wish it would stop. I can't remember there being such a long cold spell, so much for global warming.
This was a nice quick card to do as I have used a pre-coloured Alfie (from WillowDesigns). And look, there's that MS punch again. I think you will be seeing a lot of that punch!
This fits two challenges....
Willow Sketchie.....fab sketch.
ABC challenge....N for New, I have used my new Alfie image.
I've used Coco again, he's just so darn cute! And look....my stitching is improving. The papers are by Doodlebug and you can get hold of Coco here at the DigiStamp Boutique (oh, and there are some fabby new releases for February.....card to follow). I have used Copics to colour.
Well, the soap making stuff finally arrived. Don't ever order anything from the Soap Kitchen, well not if you want anything fairly fast and you don't want to pick it up from the couriers depot over 30 miles away!
I have trawled Glasgow for a fluted tartlet baking tray, no luck. I then tried online, still nothing. So my little lavender guest soaps will just have to be plain.
Anyway back to this card...it fits 4 challenges...
Friday Sketchers.....great sketch, thanks.
DareU2Digi....Hearts/Valentine.
Secret Crafter....Hearts.
Sweet Stampin'....Scallops (I used my brand new MS punch).
