Ibiza 2018

Hello. Following on from this blog post I have been adding a few more pages to my Simple Stories Sn@p album documenting this years holiday in Ibiza.

The page above features snaps of the hotel and two beer mats! The background papers and embellishments are from the Santorini Collection by Prima.

The Santorini Collection is perfect for any holiday and given the weather we are having this year it certainly doesn't need to be anywhere very far! The collection is available over at

And here is hubby taking full advantage of the comfy seats in the chill lounge!

Junk Journal

Hello. I bet if you are like me you don't throw anything remotely crafty or papery out! So, meet my junk journal basket. This is where I throw all sorts of bits and bobs. Pages from magazines, snippets of beautiful paper, business cards, pretty envelopes (some happy mail envelopes have been decorated, not brown bills - although they can be useful too!!). Anything really. I also keep a stapler and a glue stick in there so that it's all good to go when I take a notion.

Each insert in a junk journal is called a 'signature'. Don't ask me why! The signature above has 12 pages from 6 folded pieces of 'junk'. They are held together by sewing white thread through three holes spaced evenly down the centre. I covered the front of this signature using leftover items from my monthly Sweet Treet box.

On the first page I stuck an envelope, maybe I'll keep some of my secrets in there!!

A couple of the pages are from a Daphnes Diary magazine, a magazine that is perfect for this! I'm looking forward to sticking, doodling and journaling on the rest of the pages. It will then join the rest of my 'signatures' in one of my felt Travellers Notebooks. If I have given you any ideas on using up your bits and bobs, I'd love to see what you do!

be brave

Hello. When I saw these stamp sets by Tracey Hey at Alpaca Pals I new I had to treat myself. The difficulty I had was which ones to pick! In the end I chose 'warrior' and 'with love', but I know I'll be back for more on pay day. The card above features warrior. I paper pieced the whole image with polka dot papers (and I know it's been a success when Mr Buttonsforbrains says 'that's cool').

Super quick delivery and look.....

....a sweet set of alpaca stickers in with my order!
Guess how next weeks planner pages will be decorated!!

anything and everything is possible

Hello. I have put some gorgeous stash from my July Sweet Treat Box from Paper, Pen and Plan to good use and made this card. I heat embossed the pretty feather stencil onto watercolour card using white embossing powder. Then I coloured using my grey Brusho, I coloured the butterfly and bow the same way. The dots on the vellum are silver but that doesn't show so well on the pic'. I added the sentiment and tiny buttons as a finishing touch.

The stencil, butterfly, paper ribbon, buttons and the beautiful vellum were all in the box, you can see a full unboxing here.

Friday 6 July 2018

too stinkin' cute

Hello. Today's card features Maddie a Polkadoodles digital stamp. Normally I would colour digi stamps using my Copic markers or my Prismacolour pencils but Maddie got something different - a touch of watercolour. Yes, you can watercolour digi images and here are my top tips -

Print the digi image onto watercolour card.
Give it a blast with a heat gun (or leave it aside for a while) to set the ink.
Don't use a lot of water, just enough to spread the colour.

The background papers are also Polkadoodles and you can find them here. The daisies have been diecut from watercolour card and coloured the same way as Maddie, this means you have a perfect match!

Ibiza 2018

Hello. If you have been following my blog for a while then you'll know I do all my holiday memory keeping in Simple Stories Sn@p Albums. It works for me as it's quick and easy, just treat yourself to a beautiful matching collection of papers, stckers and journal cards. For my recent Ibiza trip I chose the Santorini Collection by Prima - perfect!

This is the inside cover, covered with a piece of the foiled paper, a little grouping of stickers and some glittered dot accents.

The other side of the hardboard divider has been covered with the patterned paper that could either be cut down to individual journal cards or kept as a bigger piece.

And here is the start of the holiday, cases packed!

The Sn@p system is really easy. You just decide which journal card to use, stick on your pic', maybe add a wee sticker and slide it into the plastic pocket!

The Santorini Collection is perfect for any holiday and given the weather we are having this year it certainly doesn't need to be anywhere very far! The collection is available over at
Paper, Pen and Plan quote LIZ10 for 10% off.

I have all my pic's printed and plan to do a couple of pages each week till it's done. So why not free those pic's from your phone and get memory keeping!

And, of course, I have kept all my ticket stubs, beer mats, leaflets, restaurant cards etc. They will find their  way onto a journal card and popped into the album on the appropriate page.

You can read a little about last years album here and here!
