happy birthday....with love

Hello. This little guy has a spring in his step! He's a Penny Black woodmounted stamp called 'frolic'. I stamped onto watercolour card using a Versafine ink pad and coloured with Derwent Inktense pencils. The sentiments are from a clear stamp set by DigiStamp Boutique (they have just recently added some clear stamp sets to their digi range - super cute). A little heart button and some pearls add the finishing touch. Be back tomorrow with next weeks planner pages and, of course, the winner of my magazine giveaway!

imagination

Hello. Following on from this blog post I have a few more pages in my passport size Prima journal to share. The inserts I got for this journal have watercolour paper inside, perfect for my style of stamping and colouring.

I have also used some stickers but kept with stamped and watercoloured backgrounds.
I think this mixes my pages up nicely.

This little journal is now complete and I'm ready to move onto a fresh blank one.
Can't wait to get started!

just bee-cause

Hello. As promised I'm back with another card featuring a Penny Black stamp. This one is 'bee costume', a cat dressed as a bee - only in card world! Once again I used my Inktense pencils to colour. The background is stamped using 'mini chicken wire' by My Favourite Things.

Well, I best get using my other stamps, you'll be fed up looking at Penny Blacks!

sunshine and smiles

Hello. I don't think I'll ever tire of inking up my Penny Black stamps and giving them a bit of colour with my Inktense pencils. When I'm at a loss for ideas they never let me down. This card features 'nature trail ted', I hope he has sandwiches and a flask of tea in that backpack!

The background is 'burlap' by JustRite and I stamped using Versamagic chalk ink. I die cut the fence from watercolour card, this means I could add some shading using my grey Inktense pencil.

I have another Penny Black card to share tomorrow, see you then?

Wednesday 21 March 2018

you are loved

Hello. I have a few more pages in my passport TN to share. I can hardly put this little notebook down! I think the much smaller size is very easy to pick up when you don't have much time and a large blank page staring up at you can be quite off putting, I think.

Above on the left is Becca from IndigoBlu and on the right the stamp is from the Bloom Collection by Prima. The background is a bubble wrap stamp!

This one is 'fairy garden sign' by Stamping Bella and the birds are from 'doodled birds' by JustRite.

And finally, this is 'nerd bird' and 'super starling' from RubberMoon.

All have been stamped using a Versafine ink pad and coloured with watercolours.
You can see other pages here and here.

Pawsome!

Hello. Today's card features another new stamp set from Waffle Flower called Pawsome. I stamped the background using chalk ink on a Docrafts doily stamp.

Well, it's the first day of Spring today and I have to say it did have a little feel of Spring about it. But, I believe I said that a couple of weeks ago and look what happened!

happy birthday

Hello. I'm hoping that by using this colour combo I can herald in Spring! Fingers crossed it works!! How cute is this little bunny peeking through his heart shaped window? He's from The DigiStamp Boutique but he's not a digi! The Boutique have introduced a gorgeous range of clear stamps so I couldn't resist a little spend. I used my Derwent Inktense pencils to colour.

I am entering the following....

just waving hello

Hello. Sometimes a card comes together just as you had imagined in your head and sometimes, quite often these days, they don't! This was super simple, quick (well, apart from the fussy cutting but I enjoy that anyway), easy and exactly how I wanted it to look!

The stamps are 'hello' by Waffle Flower and I coloured with my Copic marker pens. The two little strips of paper are from a 6x6 pad called Family Fun by Elle's Studio.

Winter Wonderland Challenge

Hello. Today I'm sharing my card for the Winter Wonderland Challenge.
The challenge for the next two weeks is...outdoor fun! And, of course, it has to be Christmas themed!
The sponsor for the challenge is Dr Digis House of Stamps who are giving one lucky winner two digi stamps. I used Harley Claus and you can find him here.

the dust of everyday life

Hello. Following on from my March Hare post I have had another play in my passport TN. The pages above feature Wonky Tonk Girls by Tracy Easson. The pages below are a mix of Eclectica (EKD02) from PaperArtsy and Houses in a Row from Basement Studio.

On both pages I used my watercolours and a sprinkle of Brushos. The Daniel Smith watercolours and the passport notebooks are all in stock at Paper, Pen and Plan. Quote LIZ10 for 10% off!

Both my Prima Travellers Notebooks are starting to look pretty chunky. This makes me happy!

puppy kisses

Hello. Back today to share a card. This one features my new stamp set from My Favourite Things. It's called 'Puppy Kisses' and is very, very cute. I wasn't planning on getting any goodies from the MFT release this month (as I had spent all my pocket money on the Waffle Flower release) but, you know, it's puppies!!

Plan with me!

Hello. It seems that Sunday is now my day for sharing my planner pages. Well, that seems sensible given the pages start on a Monday! Last week I used stamps that didn't need colouring, this week is all about the colouring! I used Bower waterbased markers to colour the MamaMakes stamps. And although my planner pages are not watercolour card just don't use too much water and you'll be fine.
And something else that's becoming a regular feature is a little 'plan with me' video which you can find here.

The March Hare

Hello. Today I'm sharing a little page in my passport size Prima travellers notebook. The inserts for this notebook are really cool because you can get watercolour paper, mixed media paper and plain. I chose the watercolour one here as I was using my Daniel Smiths to colour.
And so many coincidences - it's March, Alice in Wonderland is one of my favourite books and my new passport arrived today!
Pop over to Paper, Pen and Plan if you fancy one of these gorgeous notebooks.

The gorgeous image is from All Dressed Up DigiStamps who just happen to be the sponsor

The prize is two images of your choice from the brilliant selection in their shop.

Sunday 4 March 2018

Plan with me!

Hello. Today I'm sharing my planner pages for next week. I've gone back to stamping with chalk inks and stamps that need no colouring. This makes for quick and easy planner pages! I used stamp sets from Mama Makes, Paper, Pen and Plan and Lawn Fawn.

I made a quick 'plan with me - stamping' video showing exactly how I stamped these pages, have a peek here. I'd love it if my YouTube channel got a few more subscribers - go on - you know you want to! And while I'm here I want to spread the word about the Mama Makes first birthday craft workshop......

Here's what Mama Makes has to say about it....

'We're excited about our first birthday next month and we hope you'll join us to celebrate! We’re hosting a crafty workshop on Saturday 24th March in central Peterborough, 11am til 4pm. There will be workshops, shopping and cake, what’s not to love?!

On the day you will receive a journal which you will fill throughout the day through various workshops where you will learn different techniques in stamping. You will then take the journal home and remember everything you have learned!

Friday 2 March 2018

hello

Hello. So much for thinking we had a touch of Spring the other week! That'll teach me! Anyhoo, here's todays card. I used 'hello dear' by Penny Black and coloured with Inktense watercolour pencils. I rounded the corners for a wee change, must do that more often it's a nice finishing touch.

I am entering the challenge at Cute Card Thursday...anything goes.
