Flutter on by

The sun has gone and normal service has been resumed - rain! For todays creation I have used the digi image 'little water can fairy' from Cuddly Buddly. I coloured with prisma pencils. The papers and sentiment are also digital and can be found here.

I am entering my card into this weeks Simon Says Stamp Challenge 'anything goes'. Right, I'm off now to do a nosey round the blogs!

Patriotic Jasper

So what does everyone have planned for the Jubilee? We are having a small family get together, just me, hubby, my mum and my two sis-in-laws. A barbeque, or, if it's raining, afternoon tea. Best bit, of course, is the two bank holidays! And, as I only work Monday to Wednesday, I have organised Wednesday off. Woohoo, plenty time to catch up with blogland!

Quick and easy make tonight. I have used Patriotic Jasper from The DigiStamp Boutique and coloured with copics. Everything else is from the Portobello Road range.

I am entering three challenges...

Papertake...true colours
Creative Inspirations...anything goes
Cupcake Craft...royalty

London

Good morning Penny Black fans!
I have not been creating or blogging very much this past week. It's this weather! You just have to be at the beach walking the dog. Anyway, apparently the sun is leaving us on Tuesday, so it will be full steam ahead in the crafty room, cos' I've got loads of catching up to do - card wise and blogging wise.

So, onto this weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge....

Monochrome

We have this cool prize up for grabs from our regular sponsor Fantastic Ribbons...

I have decided to step down from the Penny Black Challenge and this is my final week. I have had a blast - thanks ladies! I love my PB's so those hedgies will still be making an appearance from time to time!

OK then, there's a lounger and a ginger beer ice cream float waiting for me. And it's Eurovision tonight - c'mon The Hump!

Tuesday 22 May 2012

hi

Summer has finally arrived, here's hoping it lasts more than 24 hours! I have the usual Tuesday share - a TeddyBo card. This time using a new TeddyBea image coloured with copics and the papers are 'alora' by BoBunny. I picked up the little ladybird stickers in Accessorize.

Usually Gayle (Mrs TeddyBo) brings us new bears every second week but this week she has been busy with her Fairydoodler hat on and has released these...
Remember that if you want to become part of the TeddyBo family there is a design team call open until Sunday. You can find all the details here.

Well it's been rain all day today, but s'posed to be better tomorrow, here's hoping!

Wednesday 16 May 2012

a butterfly

The challenge over on Simon Says Stamp is 'clean and simple'. I think this fits the bill! The sentiment is from a selection at Pink Petticoat and I have used up two little scraps of paper for the butterfly (I knew I was keeping them for a reason).

Is anyone else having problems commenting? I keep getting a 503 error. Will try doing my rounds again tonight and hopefully it might be fixed.

String Ring!

Earlier tonight, while I was watching Pointless - best quiz show on TV, I wrapped garden string around a polystyrene ring. A few die cut flowers and leaves later and voila - now hanging on the crafty room wall!

See you all tomorrow for a very special TeddyBo Tuesday. We want some new playmates at TeddyBo Towers, so guess what? There's going to be a design team call!

Happiness

Sometimes on a Sunday morning I set aside a little time to try something a bit different. This isn't totally different, I have tried this inky, arty sort of thing before. But somehow I am never really pleased with the result and find I can never pull off the look that is in my head! I guess it takes practice. Anyway, I am always in awe of the tags my blogpal Emma makes and she has inspired me to take part in the month's Artistic Stamper Challenge which is 'spots and stripes'.

My spots and stripes are Hero Arts stamps. The bird and sentiment are Inkadinkado. Haven't a clue where the crown stamp came from - perhaps it was a freebie with a mag. The metal circle charm is from a selection at The Teddy Bo Store.

Off now to scrub all the ink off my fingers!

Saturday 12 May 2012

Just for You

What could be better than a bear with buttons?

I have coloured TeddyBea 'buttons..one, two and three' with Prisma Pencils and the papers are 'viola' by Memory Box. The felt pompom's are die cut, I tried paper first but felt worked better, I must need more practice!

Top Gear!

How sweet is little Dan? New in at the DigiStamp Boutique, he is part of a set. There's Dan on his skateboard, Dan playing footie and rugby and, the one I used, Dan on his pushbike.

The papers are 'boys only' by Doodlebug and I coloured with copics.

Because Dan is so cute I am entering this weeks Papertake Challenge...cute, cute, cute!

Wednesday 9 May 2012

paint the town....yellow

I know, I know, I should be painting the town red but that wouldn't fit with this weeks Less is More Challenge which is 'yellow'!

Both stamps are from the Penny Black set 'paint the town' and I have used watercolour pencils to colour.

Really not much more to say on this one!

TeddyBo Tuesday..On Wednesday! (and other bits & bobs)

Better late than never! But I have a good excuse, more about that in a bit. Anyways, it's team A's turn to host the TeddyBo Challenge this fortnight which is 'Button Up'. You have until Sunday to enter. There are some gorgeous images up for grabs. All the info' and some brilliant inspiration from Team A is here.

Talking of gorgeous images up for grabs. Have you had a nosey at the brand new DigiStamp Boutique facebook page? There are two cool free images to celebrate the launch. Pop over here for all the info'. If you have never tried going digital then this is the perfect chance.

Now what else, oh yes, over on Cupcake Crafts Challenge my recent 'London Telephone Box' card made me a Cupcake Cutie - thanks girls, my badge is on my sidebar.

Now, my excuse for yesterday. Well, the other week I told you about the new furniture arriving. So that meant we had a fairly big shelving unit surplus to requirements which hubby thought might be good at the back of the garage. But I had other ideas. 'Darling, if we moved the other units from the crafty room it would be perfect in there!' So the whole day was spent moving furniture and re-organising stash onto my new shelves. I'm off to Ikea today for some nice basket boxes. I will post some pics when properly finished.

Might be back later with a card!

Dare to Share

During a nosey round the blogs I came across this cool idea. Over at Sandra's Crafty Corner she has 'dared us to share'. What you have to do is look way back and choose three or four of your very early cards and post them along with a few of your most recent makes.

I don't have pics of my very early cards but here are three from my first month as a blogger. I can't believe it is almost four years ago since I joined blogland in June 2008. I enjoyed making cards in pre-blogging days but sharing your creations adds so much more. I have met and made so many friends and have been very lucky to be part of some great design teams.

OK then, here we go...
The very first card I posted on my blog - the colouring is a bit pale!
My love affair with Penny Black stamps begins - I must have bought a new white pen!
Love those papers, wish I still had some!

Now onto the present day. I think there is quite a difference. I am now much more inclined to be bright, bold and cut around my images rather than 'nestie' them! Oh, and I got a new camera!

Had to include my most recent Penny Black stamps.
I discovered the world of TeddyBo about a year ago, so cute!
And my final card. Digital images are so much fun.

So there you have it, why not join in the fun and leave a link to your before and after cards here at Sandra's place.

DigiStamp Boutique - New for May

Just new in, there's the London 2012 Collection. You get the images as black outline and pre-coloured. I have used some of the pre-coloured ones, makes a super quick card. There's Funtime Dan, perfect for little boy cards. I will have a Dan card to share a little later in the week. There's also Henry, Zoe and Jasper. All these sets and individual images are on special offer until the end of May.

While I'm here I thought I would also share this card. Using images from the 'Sewing Kit' set. Don't forget that if you make a card using one of the Boutique's images you can enter the customer competition to win some freebies. All the info' on that is here.
