Hollywood comes to Glasgow

A little bit of Glasgow is transformed into Philadelphia for a couple of weeks, so had to have a nosey. Perhaps catch a glimpse of the elusive Brad!

Oh no! I've heard there are zombies on the loose, call the SWAT team.

Trust the Network News to get here first!

The police didn't stand a chance against Glasgow zombies!

Watch out, that truck is heading right for us.

Arrggghhh, the zombies are winning, help!

Memory Box

During yesterdays bank holiday I decided to turn this box.....

into this....

It's the first time I have altered something quite so big. It was a lot of space to fill! This is for a friend who recently retired. She told me that she would love to have a memory box for all her bits and bobs. I hope she likes it. I certainly enjoyed making it and I'm going to be trying different variations like a sewing box and a baby box. So keep your eye out for those.

I am entering this weeks challenge over on Cupcake 'alter it'.

winter wonderland

Good morning Penny Black fans!

It's Saturday, so that means it's time to play along at the
Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

This week we have a cool sketch by our team mate Nat.

I have decided that as the Christmas box is now well and truly out of the crafty cupboard I might as well try to get ahead. So I have used this cute little hedgie from a PB Transparent set 'The Wonder' which I coloured with watercolour pencils. The papers are 'wintertime' by Echo Park. I have added lots of snowflakes, well, it's Christmas, and you can never have too many snowflakes!

We have a great prize this week, 4 rolls of ribbon from Fantastic Ribbons. So for details of how to enter, for fabulous inspiration and to find out if you are last weeks lucky winner pop over to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge.
See you there!

thank you for a special friend

I can't believe it's back to using the light box already. I really do prefer to take my pics outside but by the time I get home from work and make my card it's far too dull, and it's still only August!

Anyway this creation is for two challenges....

Lili of the Valley....thank you

Stamp Something.....to say thank you

The sentiments and paper are from Craftwork Cards, the image is Lili of the Valley and the cool ribbon is from Sew Sweet.

lovey dovey happy birthday

I would like to share with you the card that has nearly made me hang up my pokey tool! Version one of this card was started last night....stitching disaster. Version two shortly after that....a second stitching disaster - has my 30 year old machine finally given up on me? In between I did practice on a piece of scrap and it was fine.

So tonight I was determined. With the stitching done I picked up my image to attach to the card and....tomato soup! Don't ask. Anyway this time all was not lost, a carefully placed sentiment saved the day.

The image is a Teddy BoBea and I coloured with promarkers/copics. The papers are 'bubblegum hills' by Kaisercraft and the gorgeous felt that I used to make the flowers is from Sew Sweet.

I am entering three challenges....

TeddyBo....love is in the air

Cupcake....a fabby sketch

A Spoon Full of Sugar...happy birthday

a dream is a wish

Well I'm back from spending a week in the middle of the North Pennines during what turned out to be the wettest week of the year!

It's just as well the cottage is like a home from home! I take some stamps and do some colouring but there is no internet connection whatsoever so I am looking forward to catching up with you all and your crafty makes. Oh, and a big wave hello to my new followers. I'm always chuffed to bits when I see the numbers grow.

So to get me back in the swing of things, and before I launch myself into my next magazine commission, I thought I would do a card for this weeks Less is More challenge 'use ink'.

I have used four inks. Two distress inks, tattered rose and bundled sage, for the script background spritzed with a little water. The dandelion clock was stamped with rich cocoa Memento ink and the little spindly things were onyx black Versafine.

The sentiment was also stamped with rich cocoa but stamped first on a piece of scrap. The script stamp is by Kaisercraft and all others are Marion Emberson Designs.

The Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

It's been ages since I used one of these adorable Lili of the Valley images. Although I have to come clean and tell you this is a pre-coloured one. Sometimes you just want to make something quick and easy and these certainly fit the bill for that!

Look there's me and my article about Sakura Pens. I got to play with gelly pens, souffle pens, silver calligraphy pens and a marbling kit. You will need to buy the mag' to have a nosey at what I came up with and at the risk of blowing my own trumpet I think you will be pretty impressed!

hi

My card tonight features TeddyBea, looking very summery in her pink and green outfit. I'm glad she chose that outfit 'cos it matches my BoBunny papers perfectly!

lemons

Here is my card for this week's Less is More challenge 'feeling fruity'. Well, I racked my brains for this one. Those ladies sure do make us think! Don't really have any fruity stamps so browsed through my digi images and found these. I think they were freebies from Pink Petticoat ages ago. They fit the bill perfectly, don't you think?

And the inside....
...not so CAS, but I'm hoping that doesn't matter so much!
