On a Sabbatical for a couple of weeks.

Life is just too hectic at the moment so I have had surgery to remove the water colour pencils and copic pens from my hand and they have been safely packed away.

We are having some work done on the house and it is just too much of a guddle to have my stuff out as well, besides who wants their Penny Blacks and Cuddly Buddlys speckled with emulsion? Not me!

But, I will still be blog hopping and watching with interest what you are all up to.

So, be careful with those scissors and don't glue those fingers together............I'll be watching!

Friday Sketchers & Stamp Something

This fits both these fab challenges this week.

Friday Sketchers # 47..........a great sketch to follow.

Stamp Something ........at least 2 shapes - I have used two different nestie shapes.

The paper is by Making Memories and the sweet image is from Grab-a-Doodle-Do coloured with Copics.

Sketch & Stash #8

Another sketch to follow on this fortnightly challenge blog. My 'new/never used' element is a stamp by Pollycraft I won a few weeks ago. The papers are by Making Memories and I have doodled round all the edges.

DH's comments on this one..............'looks a bit like Mick Hucknell'.

Daisy and Dandelion #5

Can't get enough of these sketches!

Here I have used die cut decoupage. 'Cos the other weekend we went for a drive down the Clyde Valley and stopped at our usual garden centre for coffee and cake (as you do) and lo and behold had they not been bought over by Dobbies and thus.........yes, you've guessed it..........have a few crafty bits. Now, you know I didn't need anything but I like to do my bit for the local economy!

Charisma Cardz Challenge #14

Mmmm, purple and green? Not a colour combo that I would normally try but I kept it quite pastelly and I think it works (although couldn't stop miceself using a bit of peach to pick up the colour of those playful little critters).

The mice are Penny Black stickeroos (bit short of time to colour today) and I have swiss dotted every bit of card in sight!

Truly Scrumptious #4 Simon Says #1

Truly Scrumptious...........a great sketch to follow and you must go mad with your flowers!

Simon Says...............yellow and green.

Well I kept all my prima flowers safely tucked away in their re-cycled shortbread tin and went crazy with stamped flowers, I think this suits quite well.

The stamp is Potted Kitty by Whipper Snapper coloured with Copics and the paper is Flower Patch by Making memories.

Dare U2 Digi Stamp Challenge #1

'Cos I have just recently caught the digi bug I thought it might be fun to join in with this brand new challenge. There is a great sketch to follow and you must use a digital image. I have used this fabby little owl that I got from Willow Designs.

Off now to eat the ears off my bunny!

* ribbon*

*two different pattern papers*

*sentiment*

*at least one flower*

and, of course, some sort of stamping!

Willow Sketchie Challenge

I have caught the digi download bug!
This little cute owl is from a set downloaded from Willow Designs. It follows this sketch with an added twist of glossy accents, shine and bling. I have used glossy accent on those huge eyes of his and I have blinged it up a little with zoomz. The dotted paper is from my Daisy and Dandelion pad.
So, here is the card...........

and here is the sketch it follows..............

Basic Grey Challenge 28 Follow the Sketch

I have used papers from the 'Sugared' paper pad and just kept it simple with a stamped flower in the middle. I stamped the image once with pink and then a second time very slightly askew with creamy coffee chalk inkpad. I doodled some dots to finish off.

Creative Card Crew

I think this is my first try at the Creative Card Crew Challenge. The theme there this week is 'texture'.

That caught my eye cos I have been wanting to try a new technique I saw somewhere (can't remember where). You ink your cuttlebug embossing folder and the run it thru' the machine as usual and voila a lovely textured piece of card that has picked up the ink. I'm quite pleased with the result.

The image is from Grab-a-Doodle-Do and the papers are from a Daisy and Dandelion pad.

Stamp Something & Secret Crafter

This card fits two of this weeks challenges.

Stamp Something..............great sketch to follow, thank you ladies.

Secret Crafter....................stitching.

The papers are from a Brenda Walton pad by K&Co and I have gone a bit mad with the faux stitching.

Sketch and Stash #7

Part of this challenge is to use something new or something you have not yet used. Well I got these elephant images as a download from Cuddly Buddly yonks ago, couldn't figure out how to resize them (actually very easy) and so didn't really take to them. Well now there's gonna' be no stoppin' me!

I have coloured the image with Copics cut it out and gave the little stars some twinkle with glitter.

I have again used those D&D papers.

Friday Sketchers #45

Scarie the scarecrow has been coloured with Copics for this cheery little card. It follows the brill sketch on this weeks Friday Sketchers.

The papers are from a Daisy and Dandelion pad. I have used these papers a lot since I got them they are so fresh and springlike. I hope I can get more when they run out.
